I keep looking at least 15 times a day for prices to go down.. We want an early flight leaving and I would take a flight around 9 or after coming home.. I still have not booked anything.. Do you think I am leaving it too long.. and when do they usually have sales on flights for Aug.. We are going Aug 25 to Sept 2... Any helpfull hints??... Thanks.. Sarah:hippie: :hippie:

I just booked our flight for Sept 6-16th, last night on Delta. Lat time I checked, the fare was about $370 rt. (we fly out of Ontario, California) and last night they had fares for $218rt (plus fees) I jumped on them. :goodvibes I've learned from experience that if you don't get 'em when you see them, even a 1/2 later they can be gone!

Last year, for our September trip, I booked our flights in June. That's when I saw a pretty good fare finally show up. I was actually surprised to find such a low fare so early. ( I just checked and my flights are still available for $218rt, but there are less flights showing at that price.)

Just keep checking, you have plenty of time, they should come down. Where are you flying from?

We are flying from Buffalo.. just seems to be not many deals around.. I will keep checking and checking.. I think I am just not too sure about changing planes.. but there doesnt' seem to have many direct flights.. with out paying alot hirer price!.. Thanks.. Sarah

We're going down a few days after you and we don't have tickets yet either. I looked on one of the SW threads that lists the DING! rates from last year and it looked like the best deals for that time frame were offered in the beginning of June. If I can find my flights for $175 or less nonstop before then, I'll book it, otherwise I'll bite the bullet and get whatever the rate is then. I would't panic yet.

We are returning from Disney Aug. 6 and still have not purchased the tickets yet. I am holding out for a SW ding. I am keeping my fingers crossed!;)

The problem is you are flying on a weekend (Sunday).

When we were pricing flight for out August trip flying on Sunday was twice as much as flying on Mon. Luckily we were able to be flexible on this trip so are flying down on a Mon and returning on a Thurs. I would probably be driving down if we had to fly on a weekend as it would have been over $300 per person to fly.
