Can anyone who has been to hrh lately tell me prices of soda, water, beer at the pool and at the parks? I read there is a walgreens near, is it within walking distance. Also read the latest Universal blog about the night show and parade coming in the spring? Any specific dates? Also the mears sight was vague about taxi prices. It just gave prices to "Universal". Which where I come from could be a 10-20 dollar difference going to specific destination (hrh) I know these questions are kind of petty but it all adds up.

There is a food sticky on the main Universal boards with prices of food and beverages. There are not specific dates for the new parades and night-time shows. It is difficult to give you taxi prices without knowing where you are coming from. It is generally in the low $30's for taxi fare from Disney to Universal, if that is your route.

We just got back from Royal Pacific and their domestic beers were $6 for 16oz. aluminum bottles. Portofino was $7 for the same bottles. I'm assuming HRH is about the same.

We stopped at Wal-mart on our way in (rental car) and bought a 24 pack of small 8oz. beers, a 12-pack of water and several snacks for the room. The beer was $9.97 and the water was ~$3.80.

RPR had a nightly Happy Hour from 7pm to close and draft beers were $4.00.

The park beers were about $6-$7 as well. Bring your own cup or save one and water is free.

Soda...in the parks, soda was about $2.50 for a small and $2.99 for a large BUT (and this is a great tip I got here), you can buy the refillable souveneir mug in the park for $7.99 and get .89 refills all day...(but here's the best part, you can bring the cup back day after day and continue to get the .89 refills on soda.) There is even a kiosk or two at CityWalk that gives the .89 refills.

Thank you for the replies. I should have mentioned we are coming from the airport and will not have a car. I have heard of a service that will stop at a store or would it be better to do a cab and walk? to walgreens?

We've used towncar service (with a grocery stop) for our previous trips and will book one again for our October trip.
