Still learning the ropes

As some may know, we recently joined the club and are slated for a visit next month to stay at our "new home" SSR. 2 questions. first, i've seen many, many references to requested views. are these just requested before when making the reservation, or when checking in? and if you can request them, for those that have been to SSR, what are the best views? I would think the views of DD would be great after the sun goes down.

You can request a view of DD when making ressies.....You can also ask when you check in...Does not mean you will get a view of DD but it does not hurt to ask.....Depends on when you are going and when you get there...If it is available they will give it to you.... Have Fun!!!!!

You can make as many requests as you want, but only two (I think) will appear on your written confirmation. I think it makes sense to limit your requests, because if you make a bunch, your priorities may get lost in the shuffle.

We normally only request non-smoking for medical reasons. Then we hope we don't get next to a smoker who requested non-smoking because they want to spare their family from second-hand smoke. Believe it or not, some do.

If we get self-absorbed neighbors like that, they usually smoke out on their veranda because they don't want to set a bad example for their kids...who apparently don't know Mom and Dad smoke!

That, of course, means our asthmatic 4 year-old can't breathe on the veranda of her non-smoking unit. But, I guess when you go to Disney a few times, you get used to encounters with inconsiderate people.

I have had 4 requests print out on a confirmation and all 4 were met!

1) Non-Smoking
2) Location
3) High Chair
4) Bed Rails
