Still FP+ question

I have read everything I come across on FP+ and DH and I have decided it take a trip alone and "test" how it works before taking the whole family (getting 10 people all on one page is going to take major planning and I can see the advantage of doing the reservations in advance when we could sit around the table and discuss the rides), but I can't find out how you get in FP line. With no paper FP, does the CM look at our cell phone or are there mickey heads and we tap our ticket on them. We stay off site so no magic bands...correct?

I saw people tap cards and bands on the mickey heads. Also saw paper FP just for child/rider swap.

You tap your ticket to the Mickey head.

I also read that if you don't want to ride something you can still reserve it and then let someone else in your party ride. So is the mouse head outside the queue and I would tap my ticket and they would go in? Is there a CM standing there to ask about this?

You would need to give this person your ticket and they would do it. There are typically two points in the queue where it must be tapped.

Yes, there is a CM.

With the old system, you would show the CM at the FP Return queue your Fastpasses, but you'd hold on to them, and then at the other end, give them to the next CM.

With the new system, you essentially do the same thing, but you tap your band/card at the entrance, and then at the other end.
