Great update Nebo...We were in a similar situation this fourth. We had a great time but man was is scary. Luckily nothing bad happened. Between my buddies house and the guy across the street from him, you would of thought that it was a full on city fireworks show.

Kyle, I have seen that show many times, even wore it once or twice, I know what you mean.

Thanks Angela, you know, we have looked into the portable one's that don't need a window, cuz we're not allowed a window unit here. Only central.
But what keeps happening is, ok, two more night at POR, or a portable AC.
And AC keeps losing that battle.

Well, as you can tell, we survived the "festivities" last night, but , I was glad it happened. "Hey, cool, maybe I'll do a trip report after all."
As we are packing up, this is not a "down" time in the slightest.

I yelled: "Hey! We're going to Disney World."!

Then we do this stupid , hands on the shoulder, jump up and down dance, but the words hardly ever change. "We Two PALS!" If there are more of us, only the number changes.
No, not a pretty sight.

But this is great, we have now spent 3 nights here in Universal Orlando, been on the beach in St. Augie, driven through, and almost, into, the Smokies, and now we are heading over to The Carribean Beach, resort, in Disneyworld.

Uni is great, but it's no Disney.

In the past, we usually go down to the pool on the morning of checkout, then head on over. Today? I thought about Kung Foo Fighting, and said, hey, what say we get over there early, and see if we can get a great room.
Dat's what we did.

Nebo, I need some more UNI info. Haven't been for 7 years and I won a trip. Yep, me. The last thing I won was a used artificial Christmas tree. From the commissary. At Hahn Air Force Base, Germany. 17 years ago. I digress.
I just sent in all the notarized eligibility, liability and publicity forms (in case I do a Nebo while I am there).
So, here I am, the winner of the Travelocity Blue Man Group VIP Sweepstakes, and I haven't a clue. Except that, of course, I also had to send in a W-9 so the IRS can get their chunk of change out of it all.
So, besides seeing a bunch of bald men with blue gunk all over their heads , what will I do with a one day pass to UNI?

Now, I'm going to throw a few more pictures your way, even though we didn't visit there this time, I just want you to see what it's like at The Royal Pacific Hotel, this is also one of the Uni properties, and the cheapest one there is. We will go back there in a hearbeat, rather than spend the money at the Hard Rock Hotel.

Well, it all started at the Illinois State Fair.
When I was little, we had to go there two years in a row.

So I could be entered.
In a contest.
Against my will.
The contest was never until Sunday afternoon, which gave me plenty of time to walk around the midway, and eat lots of Pronto Pups, aka, corndogs.

I will have you know, that I came in fifth, the first year, out of about ten contestants.
The next year I came in 3rd, out of about 20.
And I was not happy, I thought I won that sucker!
