Still confused about onboard activities

I am still a little confused about attending the onboard activities. I saw a copy of a recent Navigator and saw on CC day there was a yoga class on CC's beach. Also I have seen times for hair consultations and makeovers. These are listed on the Navigator for like on hour time slot. Do I need reservations or just show up?? I am still confused about what I need reservations for and what I do not.

:hyper: 40 MORE DAYS!!!!!!

I don't know about the Yoga class.

My daughter wanted to get her hair braided, however, and the ship tiimes are limited and fill up quickly. I don't think they take advance appointments, but just start filling up the slots available when the hour, or whatever, starts. We had a much easier time getting the braiding done on CC, where they have about 10 women in to do the work instead of the few they have on the ship. Also, I think my daughter got much better quality braiding done on CC than the few examples I saw of people who had it done on the ship.

You can check out sample Navigators at www.castawayclub.com. Most of the time you can just show up for activities, some are by appointment only which is stated in the Navigators.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents, that my daughter and I couldn't get it done at the time that the braiders were on the pool deck, but we were able to make appt's for the next day. LOL, I did have trouble locating them though. It was in a little area right near the stairs up to the ESPN lounge. It was just 2 chairs with a few benches for people waiting. Besides the first night of pain to sleep on the beads, we were happy with our braids done on the ship :hyper:

When the activity is listed on the Navigator, like "hair consultations," this is a group activity that you do not need an appointment for. The spa has several "classes" like this that they do to encourage you to schedule appointments for services.

Adults can schedule hair appointments in the spa, children can schedule with the people who do it up by the pool. These times are not listed in the Navigator as they are individually scheduled. They do list times that the braiders are available for walk-ins (but they might not get to you then!)

Yoga class, body purification, metabolism whatever are all the same that you are going to a class. (complimentary.) You can then schedule individual sessions if you are interested.

I did the beach yoga on Castaway Cay, and it did not require sign-up. But for that one, you actually meet 45 mins. before class time because you have to disembark and get to the beach.
Of course, that was on the Wonder...on the Magic, I seem to remember that some of the exercise classes might have required a sign up. There was no charge, but I think they just wanted to be sure they could accommodate everyone.
