Hi
I am new to this site and I just recently booked a trip for 2 adults & 2 kids for the month of July at Pop Century. July is the only month I can go. I wanted to go in August with all those AP discounts and especially the
free dining, but I booked my air tickets a long time ago, and since then the airfare has gone up and then there is a fee to change the dates of the flights per person.
If I could change to August, all the fees and increase in fares would eat up any savings I would get.
This is my first trip on Disney property. All my other trips to Florida have been offsite and I wanted to see what it would be like to stay onsite at Disney. I have been reading this site for so long now and learned so much about AP codes, et cetera from this site that it was about time that I registered and posted something.
I am still hoping for an AP code for July. Maybe one will happen. I booked a room only because I don't think the dining plan is for us, unless it was for free the way it is in August. We plan on eating breakfast in the room and quite a few days we will eat lunch around the pool. I plan on getting a frig so we can purchase some coldcuts and other things.
I just noticed another posting on this site saying that they changed the dates for the July AP codes for Florida Residents. It says that Florida Residents can book those deluxe resorts that were offered to regular AP holders in June.
Maybe Disney will offer the same AP codes to regular AP holders for June also. Originally it said July 5 through August 5th for reguar AP holders and Florida Residents.
Can it be that a lot of people don't take their
Disney vacations in August that Disney is offering the Free Dining and also AP codes now for all hotels? One thing I did notice about the free dining on the Disney website is that then extension was from August 20th -- not August 13th the way they originally offered it.
I was hoping and still am that a lot of people that have AP's and were staying at the values in July will decide to move their vacations to August with the new AP's that were issued and that will open up the values for July. Maybe just then Disney will decide to offer some AP rates for the values for July.
Just hoping but not counting on it.
