At one time, all of our vehicles were stick. Now we have 2 of each.
Everyone should learn how to drive a manual transmission. When our DD was learning to drive during the past year, we made her learn both. Now she can drive anything!
Stick... we are looking at small SUVs for me for the future and right now only 2 come in manuals (readily available). Neither handled well enough for me so I am about to have my heart broken by giving up driving a manual
My husband reminded me that I can always get a stick again some day. I'm not sure I can really give it up though. I just love the control I have (city particularly) when driving sticks.
I learned on a stick and drove stick for years in both cars and trucks (remember double-clutching). Sometimes it's fun to drive a stick, but I don't miss it.
I have two cars, one is stick, one is auto. It depends on the car. IMHO you don't buy a sports car in an automatic, it defeats the purpose. On the other hand, I wouldn't want my sedan to be a stick.
LOVE the Stick Shift! The Honda is one and I loove driving it!! But of course my every day vehicle is automatic (mini van) and I get so bored! haha! I find myself starting to move to shift gears and then i remember

DH and I both are fine with either. Both cars currently are automatic, but DH has said that the next car with be manual. And both DS and DD will know how to drive both types.
I prefer stick, and had a stick until April when I got a new car. I decided to get an automatic when I got a new car because the wife can't drive a stick.
