I found this ride to be a major disappointment. It's definitely not worth the wait in the heat. Belching chili dogs? Disney can do so much better. My DD agreed.

How do you feel about this attraction?

I've never ridden it yet but from what I have heard it doesn't sound like a great ride. However, I will have to ride it myself before I make a decision as to whether it was something I liked or not. I do however like the Stitch game on the Disney Website (go to the Stitch's Great Escape attraction page on disneyworld.com and its on the right).

I do know that it was a general disappointment on the web. About 80% of the reviews I've read, people have hated it. I think there was so much advertisement for it (when the advertisement should have gone to Soarin', LMA, etc.) that it made the ride look worse than what it probably would have been.

Sorry about the disappointment!

I am in the minority it seems on this one, but I thought it was cute. I could have done without the chilli dog burp, but other than that I thought it was cute.

My family did not care for this ride. We will not return to it.

I'd read all the bad reviews, and didn't want to ride it, but my DS8 had his heart set on it. Honestly I think all the PR got to him -- last December Stitch was everywhere, including the wake-up calls at the resorts. Ugh. So we went on it, and DS was terrified and miserable, crying with fear the whole team. He laughs now about just how bad it was, and tells everybody to avoid it.

(As always, your mileage may vary.)

It is such a "nothing" ride...when hot dog burp is the only thing people talk about, you know that not much happens. DH insisted on riding it, so we Fast Passed it. I'm glad that we didn't devote much time to it because it's so lame.

Once was definitely enough for us on this attraction.

I'm sad to have read so many times that the Stitch attraction has been such a big disappointment. I still remember my first time on Alien Encounter so many years ago - It scared the crap out of me. AE was a ground breaking interactive attraction.

We will be down there in a few weeks and I'm sure we'll check it out. DS is a huge Lilo & Stitch / Stitch the Movie fan and he's been looking forward to the ride since the last time we were there while they were still doing construction on the ride.

I'm in the majority on this one. My family loves Stitch but we Hated the ride. Thought it was lacking that Disney Touch. We never got to ride the Alien Encounter. I can't compare the two. We felt the Stitch deserves so much better.

I really enjoyed this attraction and I am glad I did not listen to other people's opinions before my last trip. I would have missed out. My advice is to try it and make up your own opinion. The burp was awesome, in my opinion.

Hi all ...

I, too, have only read reports about how lame this is. However, my son *is* a big Stich fan (he's six) BUT doesn't like it too dark or loud. I also read recently that Imagineering was back in re-vamping the ride. Can anyone tell me from a dark / loud standpoint if it has improved? Thanks for any help!

My ds (8) loved the ride! :rotfl: He wanted to do it multiple times! We prefered the Alien! :rotfl:

Someone told me this ride was scary and not to take our 4 yr old on it so we skipped it in April. Is it really scary we are going back in Sept? If it is just gross and rude he would probably like it! The sillier the better with him :confused3

It's not for me but I'd go on it again of I was with someone who hadn't tried it. Everyone should try it at least once to see what they think for themsleves. :flower:

Myst

It really didn't seem scary to me but I don't have little children. It was never dark for more than a couple of seconds at a time, I don't think. Someone will correct me if I am wrong. The worst part was the belching. That made me sick to my stomach. We have been on AE and loved it. We will not go back to Stitch. They really messed up on this one.

It probably depends on what your kid finds scary. There's a couple minutes where you're in the dark (or mostly dark), with icky things coming at you (well, they're not really coming at you, but you're supposed to feel that way). My hunch is that plenty of 4 year olds would be scared.

My son loved this ride and wanted to do it again.. we veto'd him out because none of us really enjoyed it and although my youngest wasn't as scared during the ride as I thought she might be- no way would I be able to get her to stand in line for that ride again. Maybe if it was quick access she'd do it again but standing in line she'd have lots of time to think about it and start throwing a fit not to ride it. LOL I didn't think it was all that great- but I imagine little boys like my son (age 7.5) would enjoy it- all the way down to the burp they love to talk about afterwards. LOL Boys like things like that...
