You really shouldn't say such bad things about pickles...meloneyb21 said:I just read that d@mn article and that chick is a bleepin' jacka$$! She absolutely has no clue! How could she says such things? She's obviously not right up there! She has the common sense of a pickle!!![]()

Nutsy said:I'd just like to say that Germiane Greer can stay in London and if she were a half decent Aussie she would not even dream of saying thet things she did about Steve.
Yeah, so she has her opinoin.. sure, but now is NOT the time to be voicing it and especially to the world wide media.
She is a HAS BEEN and is after some limelight for herself. I actually think she may have been jelaous of Steve. He had a huge following world wide, and he was so genuine and down to earth and a fair dinkim Aussie, which is a heck of a lot more than can be said for her.![]()
BratTink said:Hey Nutsy, thanks so much for all the updates.
I do have a question that you may be able to answer. Have you heard anything about Wes? I'm heartbroken for him.
Deb in IA said:I'm not surprised that you would take issue with Ms. Greer's comments, Nutsy.
I'm rather appalled as well. I think one could argue that it is Germaine Greer who is "exploiting" Irwin's untimely death to recapture some limelight and publicity for herself.
And it is really low to attack someone who is dead, and not able to defend himself. Shame on you, Germaine Greer.![]()
(By the way, I've never heard that term "fair dinkim Aussie" before, but I LOVE it!!!)
Nutsy said:Good point and he did touch so many lives everywhere too.
His Dad said due to the massive outpouring of grief from the public that they would hold a public memorial service for Steve so the public could say their goodbyes
Nutsy said:Dr Seymour described controversial feminist Germaine Greer who said the animal world had finally taken revenge on Mr Irwin as an "oxygen thief".
Nutsy said:Yes the memorial service will definatley be happening, the venue is the question... originally it was thought it would be held at the Zoo in the Crocoseum but that only seats 5,000. It's looking more like it will be at a football stadium which seats about 40 -45,000. As to when it will be, we've not yet heard. but I would think the family would want to lay Steve to rest first and grieve in private before anything else happens.
I forgot to add that there a chance that Steve may be buried at the Zoo.. special permissioin would not to be granted from the local council but apparantly it is quite acceptable should the family wish to have him buired at the zoo.
