This has been driving me nuts! We were at WDW over the Thanksgiving holidays in 1993. On Thanksgiving Day, we had a Thanksgiving Dinner buffet at the Yacht Club, but cannot for the life of me remember the name of the restaurant, or if it even still exists. Does anyone remember way back then that can tell me?

TIA!

Sue

Momtot --- we are almost neighbors. I'm in Pearl City.

Renee

Was it at the Yacht Club Convention Center? I've heard that they have done Thanksgiving dinner there and perhaps are still doing it.

Rneighh,

WOW! It really IS a small world, lol! Two small town neighbors from Nowheresvilles meet on this famous forum, lol! Hey, we're ALL neighbors at Disneyworld!

erikthewise,

That doesn't ring a bell; I'm thinking the Yacht Club Galley sounds right.

Sue

The Yacht Club Galley was closed for awhile, but has reopened.

Ariels at the BC was still open in '93...could that be what youa re thinking of?

And speaking of long ago--anyone remember the Fireworks Factory at Pleasure Island/Marketplace? Great place for wings!

Anne

No, I'm almost positive it was somewhere in the Yacht Club. I wasn't a "Disney Fanatic" back then, so I didn't write these things down like I do now, lol!

We ate at the fireworks factory the year before it disappeared, We fell in love with the place. Man we were disappointed to find out they closed it.
It was by far the most BBQ I ever ate in one sitting.
The one way mirror over the urinals in the mens room was quite funny.

We ate at the fireworks factory in 1994 on our honeymoon. Sniff :( - still sad that it is gone (I miss the confetti in the streets at midnight too)

What no confetti anymore!!??!! See what having a kid does -can't even stay awake anymore to go to PI let alone stay late enough for fireworks...But they took away the confetti? I loved that!

Me too mkutch :( . It was such a great honeymoon memory for us, I've got some pieces of the confetti saved in our scrapbook. Jessica Rabbit swinging her leg, paper shapes swirling in the air.....maybe it was too "80's" for everyone :p

We loved the Fireworks Factory!! It's a shame that they closed it :(

The Fireworks Factory had, IMO, the best BBQ on-site. The Disney BBQ sauce has something in it that causes an allegic reaction for me :(

Remember those tie-dyed T-shirts FF used to sell?

I don't remember the t-shirts, but I do remember the rain!! It poured like crazy!

The food was great tho, I have to give you that. ;)
