My response was to somebody who obviously feels differently, somebody who believes there is a one by one choice. Personally I don't agree and I feel strongly about it because many that feel differently wouldn't hesitate to make certain treatments illegal because they believe God doesn't approve.

I always have to laugh when folks feel certain what God approves of and what he does not approve of.

I feel strongly that God (or nature) created Gay people as a natural way to keep the population at healthier levels. I have to wonder when folks go to great lengths to interfere in gay people's lives that they really are going directly against God's (or nature's) plans.

What this has o do with stem cell research, I don't know.

I was just about to ask, rofl. It stumps me too!

I think, that as a race, we do need to draw a line. We could do something to to our genetic makeup that could seriously debilitate us. What that debilitation is, I don't know, but it is very possible. When one goes messing around with things that may have not been supposed to mess with, you don't know the consequences of your actions. Sadly, before I think we can proceed any further with genetic manipulation, it should be studied on animals over the course of many generations to see the side effects. (If it really so safe, why not)

It is kind of funny, this reminds me of this episode of Stargate on SciFi. This race called the Asgard had the ability to clone themselves, and put their consciousness into the new bodies. But after so long of doing this, they began making copies of the copies of the copies, leading to genetic degradation. Hence, the degradation of the Asgard Race. If that is even possible it is a scary thought. Though I doubt we will ever get that far, there could be other problems down the road.
