Are you in shock? This season has just slipped away.

It also shows that we have an average defense without Troy. Ike Taylor was beat like a rented mule yesterday.

As an Oakland fan, people under-estimated us. When we had a QB who was completely useless, they said our whole team was bad. But in reality, we have a great defense (#1 corner in the league) and a solid rushing attack. When you add a QB who can complete 50% of his passes, you have a .500 record team.

I'm a big football fan! The Steelers have collapsed in the last 4 games. Their record without Troy in the lineup speaks volumes. And Hines should have kept his mouth shut last week! I don't know what he was thinking. And now he probably won't play on Thursday. If they lose to the Browns on Thursday, that will be worse than losing to the Chiefs.

Nope. We bombed in the 06-07 season after we won that Superbowl too.

We are :sad2: over the way they've been playing. I hope they can pull it together enough to beat the Browns.

It could be a long winter if the football season ends early for us, but we're still hoping that for the remainder of their games they will do better.

If they lose Thurs, my dh and ds are going to be so miserable! Good thing we're leaving Sat for Disney World to cheer them up. ha ha ha

We suck without Troy and my dh was so mad yesterday, it's funny how they go into such a funk!

I'm kind of numb. Don't really wanna talk about it. The only thing thats making me feel better is the fact that Cincy lost to Oakland also and they are #1 in our division. They also lost to the Texans. Both are sorry teams.

We better win Thursday!!!!:thumbsup2

I bet your choice of teams is well received in that area. :lmao:

In my area, you should NEVER wear a Cowboy anything!

Not a Steeler fan, but I can sympathize.

Just remember, it could be worse... I am a fan of that other team from Pittsburgh, the Pirates.

That's right, the guys who just set the all-time major league record for consecutive losing seasons!

Ugh.

DH got his playoff ticket invoice in the mail and was like "you need to send this right away" so I did. Now he is like "hey, you didn't send that yet did you?" ugh! well atleast it'll make next year's season tickets not just a huge check.

I don't think it is just bad playing, because they have had some great moments. And besides it isn't like they are getting pounded the entire game and loosing by huge point variances. They are loosing by what 3 to 6 points on average? If they were loosing by like 21 points or more each game, then I would say they were loosing it.

I think part of the problem is that they are making some bad decisions. Like yesterday, why the heck would they not go for the 3 points instead of having Ben make a first down? Who made that call? Tomlinson? Ben? Whoever made it, it was stupid.

Also, Reed hasn't been the best this year as far as kicking goes either. It is pretty bad when the visiting team kickers show up the home teams kicker.

I thought I knew what he said, but I didn't think it was anything that would prevent him from playing next week. What is going on?

Yep, they started the season 6-2 and ended up 8-8.

We started 6-2 and hopfully we can end up better than 8-8, but if we can't beat teams like the Raiders and Chiefs, how are we going to win against better teams such as the Packers and Dolphins?

As a PP stated, Hines ward is out with a hamstring injury according to NFL network.

All I have to say is that we BETTER win against the Browns or else I will never hear the end of it from my friends.

5 out of our 6 losses have been by 3 pts.

Ward pulled his hamstring in yesterday's game. From reports, he apologized to Big Ben and all is well between them.

I thought that they had kissed and made up and that the announcers said that it was comments being blown out of proportion by the media. I had not read any news today and hadn't heard he pulled a hamstring.

I hope Troy can play again soon. He looks so sad watching on the sidelines.

I have to confess--I was secretly rooting for Bruce Gradkowski yesterday. I teach with his sister--his parents were all over the news this weekend and it was quite exciting for them. He's originally from the Pittsburgh area and has wandered around the NFL for quite a few years. For him, what a thrill yesterday must have been.

The Steelers have beaten themselves the last few weeks. It's like they're asleep.

So, we started the weekend with Pitt losing, then the Penguins lost, then the Steelers lost...but we do have the West Allegheny Indians! One more win and they're off to the State Championships. GO INDIANS!

No one's said it yet, so I will. Roethlisberger's a wimp, a big wimp. Well, I guess Hines Ward said it, but I agree with him.
