I've been on the Magic before and I don't recall ever hearing about Seamboat Willies. Where is it?

Hi,
i'm a DVC member going on the Wonder on April 27th cruise.

Has anyone been to a DVC clinic on these ships? If It is worth the time to learn about new vacations, member getaways, etc...FINE!!, BUT!!!!!!! If it is just a fancy way to sell more points...I'm not interested.....
Need some input!
Thanks

My first cruise!!!!! Can't wait!!:p

We went to the DVC reception on our last cruise, it was in upbeat if I recall correctly. It was on at at sea day around ten in the morning, I had mimosa's and DH had two bloody mary's DS a fruit punch type of thing- I think maybe it was a shirley temple. They had a little game show thing that everyone won. DH got a DVC tshirt, and a lady at the table next to us gave DS the Buttpack that she won. Everyone got a nice baseball cap that had the DVC logo embrodiered on the front and member stitched on the back. No one tried to sell more points, although it was mentioned that if you wanted more who to see. Nice little get together- I wouldn't skip something I wanted to do to go but it was a cute way to kill some time, plus the mimosas were great and plentiful... did I mention FREE too :) There was another one in the evening that we were invited to but didn't bother to attend.
Don't know what steamboat willies is though....

Oh yes! Go to those DVC meetings - they are fun and you can win prizes!!!!

Nice to see how many people show up and talk about their vacations and point usage! Always makes me want to get more points!!!

We have 550 but a bid is in for another 100, it's just a wait and see process!!

I've never heard of Steamboat Willies either. On the Feb Member Cruise they did take over one of the conference rooms down on deck 2 and called it the Member Clubhouse. I wonder if they have done something like that and called it Steamboat Willies.

Glad I got the update. I was thinking of Sunday at 10 for my spa appointment. That's what I did on the last 7 day and it got the cruise off to a great start.

Will definately have to check these out!
