Steam Train Tour Transportation Question

DS #1 and I want to do the Magic Behind The Steam Trains tour on one of the mornings of our stay in late May. We will be staying at the GF. My question concerns getting from the GF to the MK EARLY in the morning. We would need to be at MK no later than 0700 (7:00 A.M.) but I don't see how we can do it unless he drives. If he drives then we would have to park at the Contemporary resort and walk to the MK if I understand the website directions correctly. The monorail from the GF would be the ideal answer but I don't think that it runs that early, per the website. A further complication is that I MAY have to use an ECV to get to the train area depending on how fast my knees are recovering.

My question is how can I get from GF to the MK entrance by 0700? Taxi? Drive and walk? Any suggestions or information will be greatly appreciated.

When I did the tour I was offsite, but since I was at the GF last trip and saw how the monorail doesn't really start in time, yes, your best bet is drive, park at Contemporary and walk. We parked there and somehow never got asked to pay for parking. We tried to pay really!

Don't recall enough about the pathway and how Main Street Station works at MK to answer about EVCs though sorry. I was busy panicking that morning because while we had to tour booked, we didn't have TICKETS to the park!

Buses run from the monorail hotels to MK before the monorail starts. I have taken the one from Poly. It may have even stopped at GF either before or after Poly. The buses start running about 6:30am on normal mornings. They probably start earlier when the park opens at 7am for EMH. You just catch this bus at the normal GF bus stop, the same one where the AK and DHS buses pick up.
