The heck with the cake. What is with the sketchy details lately. They close 2 restaurants at the Contemporary when they have not yet reopened all of the ones closed during the shut down. Making getting reservations that much harder and they still do not have details on this event. What did they suddenly realize it was this year they were celebrating the 50th and wanted to do something special. Seems they would have had the details for this a while ago. Especially since it sounds like it is just a special menu. Also they just closed Steakhouse 55 at Disney Land so why open one at Disney World?

Obviously it won't be in the same space, but there used to be a steakhouse at the Contemporary so it's kind of nice to have one back. Especially since there isn't one in the MK area. I have fond memories of the Concourse Steakhouse.

I am going to be sooooooooooooo mad if Steakhouse 71 turns out to be a replicate of Steakhouse 55. I absolutely LOVED Steakhouse 55 and was gutted when they closed

The cake they show in the pic appears to be the chocolate cake served at Steakhouse 55. If the revamp can evoke the feel and menu of the old Concourse Steakhouse it will be a win.

I loved Concourse Steakhouse, and Steakhouse 55, so if it's anywhere in that arena (and serving breakfast that isn't a buffet or AYCE!), I'll be thrilled.

Hope I can get a reservation for October 1 when ADR's are available. I have not been able to locate any dinner reservation at any of the Magic Kingdom resorts for October 1.
