Steakhouse 71 to go

I see on the app Steakhouse 72 has a to go option. It’s dinner time so not sure they also have this available for lunch? How does to go work I’ve never tried that at Disney before? I’d love to get food here for lunch one day and we have a one bedroom villa at bay lake tower so would be easy to do. Especially since my baby naps during lunch time would be convenient. I currently have a reservation. Can I drop it and just randomly order the food to go like a mobile order at a quick service?

I am not sure if they do lunch, but I have done dinner. Picked it up and took it to the room to eat before the fireworks. I actually preferred this to eating in the restaurant. I was able to order the kids steak and chose 2 normal sides. It was one of the best meals I had all week in December!

Pretty sure it was. My issue is you can’t customize the sides like you can when dining in. That is why I opted for the kids menu where you pick your main and have various options for your 2 sides. I like plain mashed potatoes and either green beans or broccoli.

They have a full bar there. I wonder if you can just pop in and order lunch to go w the bartender? Anyone know?

I noticed that the chocolate cake wasn't available via mobile order on some days, but it was available in the restaurant. Other days, you could order the cake to go.

We stayed in Bay Lake Tower with a toddler in our group 2 weeks ago, and we mobile ordered lunch (during naptime) from Steakhouse 71 with no particular issues - it worked just like it does at a QS. Disclaimer - we wanted the standard sides and didn't order drinks or dessert.

That’s great to hear. I normally like having dining booked at TS but with a toddler it’s a lot harder to plan

I think I noticed no French Onion Soup but that could be due to the mechanism for prep that would not make that practical for take out.

Hi all, bumping this up because I'm wondering if this is something they're still doing? I get in later on Friday and have a reservation here but thinking I might not get back to my room in time for fireworks so was thinking maybe I'd go this route if it's an option still.

For mobile orders, it looks like the last order slot is between 8:40 - 9 PM and you have to be staying at the Contemporary or BLT.

Not sure about in person.

Thanks for this. I'm staying at Contemporary. I just want to be sure I can grab food and get to my room in time for the 10:00 fireworks on Friday. I have an 8:45 reservation but thought that might be cutting it close, so this works as a good substitute.

Our meals at steakhouse 71 have usually been on the longer side. It’s not that the service is slow, but the kitchen seems to be slow (or very busy or both) and it usually takes a while for the food. That’s been our dinner experience a few times.

You don’t have to stay there. Even when that message comes up you can click through and order anyway.

That message is meant to turn away non-guests from parking or Ubering there. Walking or taking Disney transportation is no problem.

I totally agree. We loved the wave but Steakhouse 71 just wasn’t cutting it for us. Speaking of cutting on one occasion the server did not even bring out steak knives for our meal.
We gave it another chance for lunch before MNSSHP and it was a much better experience than we had received at dinner. Our server said that they had completely different cast members for lunch than they do at dinner service.
