My DH and I usually have at least one steak during our yearly WDW vacation, but this year we are taking our two DSs and their DGFs so we are on a tighter budget. That means no Shulas this time. :sad1: We also really enjoy the filet at The Wave, but almost all of our ADRs need to be in parks as we are trying to maximize park time. One of the restaurants we plan to eat at is Yak & Yeti (one of the whole family's favorites). We have never tried the ribeye there. Is it good? The menu says "Market Price." How do you budget for that?

(Also, if this isn't a good choice, we will be in the Boardwalk area our first night. Kids are eating at Kimonos. Right now, my DH and I have an ADR at Trattoria al Forno, but if there's a good steak nearby in about the $35 range, we would consider it. Ale and Compass is out though because we tried that last year and it wasn't good. Any other non-signature places with a good steak in that area?)

I haven't had the ribeye there but did have a skirt steak special and was surprised that it was decent. It certainly wasn't the best cut of steak, but they had marinated it which added some good flavor. Can't speak to the cost though.

Argh! I don't care what it costs but I want to have a general idea, lol. Alas.

ETA: for what it's worth, this article (https://***************/24-expensive-dishes-wdw-resort-wont-believe-cost/) from 2016 lists a 16-oz rib-eye at Yachtman's at 54. Without any other info, I'm budgeting 60 and we'll see how it goes.

ETA, A: STK at Disney Springs has a 16oz at 80. So, 60 might be low (I don't know how Y&Y compares to STK). I'll try to come back to this thread after I go in late Sept (if I still go and/or get the steak).

Since Yak and Yeti is listing it as market price how about giving them a call and asking? Even 2 months from now you’ll still have a ball park price to budget on.
Sorry but I’ve never had the steak there so can’t say anything about it beyond thinking that given Landry’s place in the market it’ll probably be OK. Checking “ribeye steak” on Yelp’s listing for the restaurant isn’t a bad idea either.

This is an OLD thread. But new interest.
I had a steak at Rainforest once maybe 5 years ago the best i can say... it was not worth anywhere near what we paid. It was not a bad steak but just what you would expect from a lower end chain.
If it were me being Disney pricing i would pay a few dollars more and stick with Shula's I can not comment on STK but in different states it was very good nor Yachtsman. Maybe can also consider Boathouse although I never had a steak here it is in the end owned by Gibsons which is a known steak house. On a side note Steak is not nearly what it was a few years ago.... unless there is a secret I am not aware of and I don't buy my steak at a supermarket... it is just not as tender as it was and I can swear the Marbling was drawn on some of the steaks I have had these days.

I had a rib eye at Yak and Yeti in March and it was delicious. My recollection is that it was somewhere around $35.

I've never had the Ribeye at Yak and Yeti. but I'm from Houston which is where Landry's is based. Landry's has multiple steakhouses in town which are all very good and I know that from the first part of the year until now, the prices have gone up just over the last month or two.
If you are looking for a good flavored non-signature steak in the parks, I can recommend Mama Melrose and Skipper Canteen.
