Before our last trip I did not see a steak listed on the menu at the Rose and Crown in EPCOT. When we got there we saw it on the menu's at the restaurant and ordered it. It was absolutely wonderful! The problem is that I just assumed that the menu changed but now I am looking at their menu again and I am not seeing it again. Am I missing something?

We were at the Rose & Crown for lunch last Friday. My son ordered the steak and loved it! He is a very picky eater and very picky about his steak. Everyone else at the table wished they had ordered it as well!

Enjoy!

It's not so unusual for menus to change, at least for a few items. I've seen this over the past 25 years. I'm only guessing, but the steak disappearing from the menu might be due to a period where free dining is being offered. Of course, that's just a guess. The steak may have also been for a trial period to see how well it went over. For a period several years back they offered a steak and fish and chips combo.

Honestly the steak is a hit or miss really, I order the steak and fish combo every year we go and just simply send it back if its a lousy cut.... they always replaced it with a more tender one... They were happy to do it, had a feeling I wasn't the first to reqeust that, lol! Love the food here....:) Bangers and Mash is fabulous...:cloud9:

Can someone tell me what kind of steak they have...does it have sauce or anything on it?? We have ADRs for Rose and Crown for the first time next week and my kids (disney adults) love steak. I think I must have missed that too when looking at the menu online.

Oh yeah...when they say fish and chips they mean fries, right?? would they allow fries as a substitution for a side to go along with the steak?

The steaks I've had there were basically strip steaks, plain, and nothing to really rave about. At one time they had a really good prime rib, but that went away some years back.

Yes, chips are fries. I'm not sure what they will substitute. Most restaurants at WDW are usually pretty accommodating.
