Just wondering about this place? Seems yummy! Is it more fast food or TS meal? How much does it cost? I see that they have 4 meals under $4 and kids eat free if adults spend 8 on the weekends so im guessing it cant be that much! Im just trying to budget my entire trip down to the penny. TIA!!!

S & S is very good...at least in my experience eating there. Food is served pretty quickly and very reasonable in price.

It is actually not to bad. My kids love it so we eat there about once a month. The burgers are good and always freshly made. The chili is also very good and make for some yummy chili cheese fries!!

My group loves S&S as well! Their milkshakes are to die for! Burgers are great too! I'd def recommend it.

It's a regular sit down restaurant with servers.

We all loved it there were 5 of us and the bill was like $45.00 tip not included. We all 4 of us had burgers and fries, one childrens chicken finger good portion, 4 of us had shakes (to die for) JMHO and 2 apps. chili cheese fries (personally Yuck for me) and onion rings. We had a lovely wait staff and the place was clean. Could not ask for a better dinner. We plan on returning this summer. Just sorry we did not know about this earlier. We are down 2X's a year for the last 7 years and just tried it last summer. Def. a family restaurant where it will not break the band, its not stuffy for the kids, and such a good price!

OMG!!!! We LOVE Steak and Shake. We stayed in Lake Buena Vista last year and discovered Steak and Shake!! OMG is all I can say. They are reasonably priced and the food is very good. Burgers always cooked hot and fresh. And the free meals for the kids with a paying adult really keeps it budget friendly. Also check the website to see if they are still doing 1/2 price shakes during certain hours. The shakes are to DIE for !!!! I had a peach shake....banana/chocolate....and vanilla. I was NEVER disappointed with anything. Food and service were GREAT. 2 thumbs up!!!

The burgers are thin and only so-so in my opinion, but we like the skinny fries and the milkshakes are good. You can always find coupons for them. We never eat at the ones in our hometown, but do stop at one on the road to Florida sometimes.

Love the skinny fries and the milkshakes, too! I like to get the one where you get two different flavors in the glass and divided down the middle (like chooclate on the left side, strawberry on the right).

Generally, Steak & Shake is good food.
I saw a "best hamburger" survey a few months ago and I think S&S ranked high on the list.

From 2PM - 4PM and late at night (not sure of those hours) they offer a great 1/2 price for any drink deal. Even the great shakes are 1/2 price!

We try to catch that a couple times a trip as they are outstanding.

Chili Spaghetti? In some parts of the midwest, we will put chili on top of spaghetti instead of tomato sauce. It's very big where I live (Cincinnati area). Of course our chili is more of a soup than a meat dish.

Steak and Shake...someone mentioned the afternoon happy hours (2-4). The night happy hours are also 2-4. I don't think happy hours apply on weekends...at least it didn't at my Steak and Shake a couple of Saturdays ago when I ordered a shake a few minutes after two.

Good food at a reasonable price. The shakes are pretty good, but not outstanding. You can get better shakes at an ice cream parlor.

I loved Steak N Shake when I lived in the midwest! I didn't realize the had them in FL now too. I just looked and there's one about 5 minutes from where we are staying in Kissimmee in August. My pregnant self will be making several stops there for shakes!!

Best thing about steak n shake is their fries! I love their fries. And for a old fashioned greaseburger, their burgers are great too. Prices are decent and I've never left hungry. Closest one to me is 4 hours away, boo hoo hoo. Thanks for the info guess where DH has to take me to eat now when we leave WDW? And we are headed to Daytona for dad's Nascar fix after our Disney segment to make me happy, so it's on the way.
