Std Studio BLT 7 months mark

Has anyone been able to get a std studio at BLT at the 7 month mark for the beginning of Dec? I don't have enough points and I need to rent points if my chances are slim. I own at another resort.

I'm not sure if this indicates anything, but just last week I had no problem getting BLT 1BR for the week before Easter.

I was wondering the same thing for August. Any studio at BLT would do! Will find out Wednesday...........

I couldn't get a standard studio at the end of Nov at 10.5 months. i doubt you will find a standard studio at 7 months. You may be able to get a LV studio but I wouldn't count on standard.

I booked a standard studio for Thanksgiving weekend at BLT exactly at the 11month mark. If rlovew couldn't get at standard at 10.5 months sounds like it might be difficult to get SV in December. However I am new to DVC is it possible that the first week of December is less crowded than Thanksgiving? Not sure if you would want to take the chance though. Good luck! Hope it all works out.

I just called this morning to try to book a BLT Std Studio for early December at exactly the 11 month mark and could not get all of the nights. That said, I am wait listed AND I am considering trying to move to a different resort at the 7 month mark. So who knows??? You could get lucky if someone who has booked a std studio moves to a different resort at the 7 month mark. But it is my understanding that there are not that many standard studios, so I would make a back-up plan.

I just tried to book a standard view studio for Dec 7-14 but had to settle for lake view studios instead. So much for calling 11 months out. Still excited though.

Reading the last two posts that reservations couldn't be gotten at the 11 month mark for the standard studio I feel extremely lucky that I was able to get it for the 3 days after Thanksgiving. I hope that everything works for everyone and they are happy with the reservations they acquire.

Jarret.Walters could you tell me what days weren't available. WE are looking for 3-10 and since I am not an owner at BLT I can't check for myself. I am looking at buying points and paying higher price but if days aren't available then there is not sense. thanks

We booked a standard studio at exactly 11 monthes, and were able to get a standard studio for December 1st through December 4th, 2011.

I could not get a Standard View studio at BLT for Dec 2010 at 11 months. I waitlisted at 11 months and it never came thru. I booked Dec 5-10 2010 in a Lakeview instead at exactly 11 months.

I doubt you will be able to secure early Dec in a Stand View at BLT.

Next year I am staying at BCV or SSR so did not check.

I tried for the 7th through the 14th. Had to take a lake view studio instead. Might be looking to move to VWL at the 7 month mark but not sure just yet.

I can help you with part of your range. I called yesterday to book Dec 7-11; the night of the 7th was not available for std studio. The 8, 9 and 10 were, but the CM said I had to call back today. I called this morning and was able to book Dec 8, 9, and 10 in a std studio, but the 7th is still not available.

From what I have read, early December is the most popular time for all WDW DVC resorts bookings because it's the lowest points, lower crowds and Christmas activities/decorations.

I called 12/27/2011, and I was able to get the BLT (Lakeview) for June 14-17. To be honest, I was shocked, but I am not excited that I have it. Of course, I also still have the original ressie at my home resort. I will be cancelling that in the next week.

I was planning to rent pts for BLT in a Std Studio for 11/5-11/10. The DVC member I just inquired with said Std studio was not available , only lake view (that would be just under 10 months out). I can be waitlisted or reserve a LV. Still deciding...

I wasn't able to get a Std 1Bdrm at 11mo out for Sept. My uncle just booked a 2bdrm for the first weekend in December last weekend, and Std was sold out, had to get Lake View.

I tried to add one night to my reservation today at the 7 month window. I wanted to add a 1 bedroom standard at BLT and it was not available. This is for mid-August. December is very hard to get at the 7 month window. OP, you'll be lucky if Lake View is available at the 7 month window.

I was able to get the 7-11th right at the 11 month mark, but I know I got one of the last standard studios. I had to waitlist the 3rd-7th. I will say that I am hoping to move to BW or BC at the 7 month mark so there may be one available. We love BLT in December, but my oldest little guy (he's 5) really wants to stay at BW or BC

Possible yes, but highly improbable. I book all standard views at BLT right at 9AM 11 month out. Half of our trips will be changed at the 7 month mark to a different resort as we continue to save points and enjoy a different experience.

Now there is probably already many BLT owners wait listed for a Std, so when I cancel my ressie, it most likely goes to them first.
