We are going to WDW in April. I really want to head over to the Universal area and check it out. I thought we could eat dinner somewhere. We aren't going to be doing the parks. I have been to Margaritaville with the kids. DH is apprehensive of the whole Universal experience, so I thought that if he could see it he would change his mind. What would be a good place for a family of five(9,6,4) to have some dinner? Maybe a hotel restaurant? Is there a number to call and make reservations?
TIA

we went on vacation dec 21-29 and went to wdw and island of adventure my kids 7 and 4 loved island of adventure more than wdw ,,,,,,dr.seuss land my kids loved and we stayed a few hours at that part of the park,,,,,next trip we will most likely do more over at those 2 parks,,,have fun

I know we'd have a great time. That's why I want dh to at least go over and check it out. Then I think he'd change his mind.

There are a lot of great restaurants that you could go to without having to go to a park. If you go to Citiwalk, our favorite is Margaritaville, its fun for both the kids and the adults; they also have the Hard Rock Cafe and the Nascar Cafe. If you want to try one of the hotel restaurants, I highly recommend Mama Della's at the Portofino Bay. The food is really delicious, and they have strolling entertainers taking requests from each table for Italian songs. We all had a great time there, and it is one of our favorite restaurants. The phone number for the Portofino to make a reservation for Mama Dellas is 407-503-1000.

If u are not going to do the parks u will not exp Universal at all just by being being at city walk so really u would need to do a park

I know in the past you could get a special pass to go into Islands of Adventure if you had dining reservations at Mythos. They gave you something like two hours and if you weren't out in that time you have to pay the park admittance. That way you could actually get your husband INSIDE one of the parks.
