Does anyone here choose to stay in the parks until about 5:00 in the afternoon and then swim/rest at the hotel for the rest of the evening instead of taking an afternoon break and going back to the parks at night?
We have normally taken afternoon breaks, but my DH thinks we ought to consider staying in the parks until late afternoon and then get in bed early (by early I mean 9:00 pm, our usual bedtime) instead of doing the nap/late night thing. We are "early to bed, early to rise" people and non-nappers in our usual daily schedule, and he thinks it may work out better for us overall. We are always at the gates about 30 minutes before the parks open, so the afternoons could be spent seeing the less crowded attractions.
He pointed out that we wouldn't have to deal with two park commutes, as well. We would go to MK one night to see Spectromagic and Wishes, but we would have to skip Illuminations and Fantasmic this year in order to work this plan, obviously. Although I love the parks in the evening, we are always exhausted throughout and after our vacation and we think we are willing to forgo most of the evenings if this new plan would help us maintain our energy level.
What do you think? Thanks in advance for your advice/input.
