Staying @ POP & want to decorate your window? We need someone to Takeover the thread!

Hi everyone. We currently have a refrigerator swap going at POP and due to the recent travel plan changes of a few of our confirmed swappers we are looking to add a few more disboarders to the swap.

We now have available 12/20/06 to 1/11/07. I would really like to close up this gap to keep the swap going. We need to reduce the gap to less than 2 weeks or the refrigerator (and cheap toaster) can't stay in POP storage.

Please check our link at: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?p=15400164#post15400164 for info or PM if you are interested or have any questions.

Thanks, Terri

I wish there were dates for us to do the Fridge swap.

Now I'm looking into car rentals for a few days. I just can't get over not being able to go grap a few things. And, it was real convienent being able to jump in the car and drive to the parks. We love the Dis transportation don't get me wrong, but with a group of 6, sometimes, it's just easier to drive your own car.

i wonder what's witht he 2 week fridge swap thing?? they told us 3-4 weeks for the decorations box and even still they said they would keep it. wierd!

Hey I will post my pics - and I did get the box and was able to leave it for the next person on the list. For some reason I actually got 2 boxes - an ice chest and a large tink bag- I did consolidate them and it included

lots of window markers
magnetic boards and markers for the door
lots of window clings
several rolls of tape
lights (mostly halloween)
streamers and other handing stuff
battery opp fans
markers
magnetic clips
glow sticks
and lots of other stuff that I cant remember right now

THIS WAS A MISTAKE - I WAS ABLE TO LEAVE THE BOX........I HAD ISSUES BUT I DID COMBINE WHAT WAS IN THE WHITE ICE CHEST AND THE LARGE TINK BAG (I AM NOT SURE IF I WAS LEFT ONE OR TWO BOXES BUT DID COMBINE THEM)........

This December will be our first resort vacation and will be staying at POP. :woohoo: My son is Autistic and eats ONLY yogurt, pudding, and milk so we NEED a fridge. :sad2: Are there fridges in the rooms and if not how difficult is it to get one in your rooms? :listen: Would it be easier to just purchase one while in Tampa 2 days prior to our reservations at POP? :confused3 Also has anyone used strollers for older or larger children? Would it be worth it to purchase one of those as well? IF so, what should I buy without breaking the bank? Most I have seen are up to 40 pounds and I need one up to 50. ;)

Fridges may be requested adn they cost 10$ per day.
------
MommyEsq, why were you not able to leave it for the next person? and what did you do with your box then?

TIA!!

As far as the strollers go, I've seen kids of all sizes in them. If you rent for the week, I think it's $8 per day.

I was able to leave box 4 for Rhonda D - I did combine what may have been two boxes (ice chest and a large tink bag)......

For your age kids you may want to rent the double stroller. I bought one, but it did break the bank. ;) I also needed one up to 50 pounds. (DD is 44lbs and the smaller ones squished her.) I bought a double baby jogger city series. I LOVE IT, but I will be using it for years to come. I paid $375 on ebay, they retail for $550, but the way I rationalized it, was that a double stroller costs $18/day and I was going to be there 10 days, so I took $180 off the price, and it brought it down to the price of any other cheaper double that I was looking at. It is 29.5 inches wide so it fits though any single doorway, wich was good getting it into the room when they were sleeping in it. It is a pain to fold for trams, but the trouble twice a day was worth it for the comfort for the day..... so, I am rambling on and on because i love it so much, but your best bet would probably be the double rented stroller. We had luck with them on the last trip, as that time we brought the sit and stand, and the second child had nowhere to lay when it was nappy time! Have a blast! I am jealous!

HELLO FELLOW WINDOW FOLK!

I need to catch up on all the window decorating news since I've been so busy at work these past couple of weeks  that I've just not had time to DIS. Had to get a lot done so I can get ready to go in just 29 more days! :woohoo:

Yes, I AM FINALLY UNDER 30 DAYS! Now, I can sing, I can dance, I can bounce! :jumping1: You guys know what I mean. You plan and wait and wait more and plan more and then FINALLY you get down to the last month and it sinks it that it is ACTUALLY going to happen! Yeah, baby, we're going to Disney World!

Just a reminder to all you holiday trippers - I have lots of extra Christmas decorations if you'd like to decorate inside your POP room too. There's more than enough for box 4. I have one more little tree left, but lots of garland, lights, bows, etc.

KatGarcia - I PM'd you (better late than never?) :rolleyes1

mommyesq - Thanx for posting the list of Box 4 contents. I was wondering if I needed to pick up a message board. Looks like I don't. :thumbsup2 Did you ever figure out where the Tink bag came from? Looking forward to your pics!

amberdansmom - I am late in posting this, but I thought that maybe the frigs at POP are offered free for those with medical conditions. I have only known of this to be true for those with diabetes, etc., who needed to keep meds refrigerated. But it might be worth looking into since your son needs special foods.

mony - I am headin' over to catch up on your pre-trippie now!

Schools are out so DGD and I are working on Christmas decorations today. She has decided to make little felt gingerbread peeps with mickey hats - we're having so much fun!

Have a great week-end everyone!

Come on people don't let this awesome thread die! :joker: :joker:

I know there are several of us leaving very soon. :cool1:

Let's pump it up. I will be in Disney in 10 days!!!!!! Although my trip starts in 9. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :dance3: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :dance3:

My son and I had so much fun during our recent October trip.....We normally try to hit the world everyother year but this time went in both 2005 and 2006 (2005 was a work conference in June and I will never do that again...too hot and too busy)....We are planning a very large trip in August 2007 to South Africa so that plan was to save Disney for 2008 but my son and I both agree that we may not be able to wait that long.....so I am looking at planning a surprise trip for my son sometime in 07 - I am thinking Oct 07 again since our entire state public school system has two days off the statewide teaching convention.......

Everyone else thinks this is too much but I know the folks in this group will support my decision.....yeahhhhh

You can never go too much. I think we don't go enough. Wow. Africa. That's a once in a lifetime trip.
