staying onsite express pass question

I am not wondering if its worth it to stay at the hotel. We are staying at the hotel regardless. I really want to know if it really saves A LOT of time or if we will be waiting a lot anyway..... and trying to determine if it is less rocket science as the Disney FP gathering that I mentioned earlier. I understand yes, HP first thing at early entry. Thank you for that tip

One year we went in June. The park was very busy. We wanted to see just how good the FOTL passes were. My son and I picked someone going on MIB in the regular line. We went in our FOTL line and the 9th time we got on...they had gotten on right in front of us. It is DEFINATELY worth it!
