Got a couple questions I couldn't find answers to.

1) I will be staying on property with my car, do you have to pay parking fees if you drive to the parks?

2) If you have a dinner ressie at a different resort, can you leave your car there and use their transportation to and from the parks?

Thanks for your help!

If you are a resort guest than there is no parking fee for any of the parks. You just keep your resort tag in the window.

One of the benefits of having a car is visiting and eating at other resorts. The resorts usually give you a time limit for parking to discourage parking there and using their transportation.

Keep in mind that if you paid for valet at your resort you can tell them at the valet at the other resort and you will not be charged.

Thanks so much, that will make it much easier not having to worry about the busses. I must say staying on property seems like the way to go and I am very happy with my choice.

We drove to WDW this past May and I was surprised how little we needed the car. We drove to EPCOT the first day and the POP buses actuallt arrived in the park before we did. We did eat off-site three times and drove to Wal Mart twice. Otherwise Disney transportation was excellent. The Unofficial Guide compares drive times to Disney transportation times.

stay on property with out car. It's a 9 hour drive for us. If we do fly, which is infrequently, we rent a car. I wouldn't have it any other way. If you're staying on-site, there is no parking fee at the theme parks. When you check in to your Disney resort, they give you a piece of paper to put on your dash that gives the name of the resort and the dates of your stay. With this little gem you will simply be waved on it by the parking attendents at the park entrances. And, it gets you into the other resorts as well if you want to visit or eat at another resort's restaurant.

Valet parking at the resorts is like $6 a day...I think that's right. I think the S/D is an exception...they are more. We don't do it - we park our own. FREE. I like the word FREE.
