Staying offsite?

I dont do Disney anymore but with the whole fastpass thing I'd probably stay on property. the few times I did it the whole getting back and forth was just a lot of hassle. I found the buses at Caribbean Beach or Coronado to be very efficient

Did not know that with Universal. i still find the whole back and forth time sink to be too much - but if I had a big family with me I'd probably do offsite at a multi room condo set up.

Ive also seen some vlogs recently of the themed houses off site and those look pretty cool

Even though there no extra fee for multiple trips in same day, its more of the headache and time it takes to drive with all the traffic, park, walk and wait for tram, get through gates. Onsite def has its advantages. Personally for me, when im on vacation, my time is worth more than a little money but when we visit Florida, we do so many other things outside of Disney and really like having a car to drive the country and explore.

We've stayed in 2 and 3 bedrooms at Wyndham Bonnet Creek several times, always purchasing on eBay where some great deals are available, especially for weeknight stays.

WBC timeshares are much larger (square footage wise) than DVC villas. The kitchens and living rooms are particularly larger.

The major downside is parking. It's often difficult to find a close parking spot at WBC.

Yeah - if i was doing much outside of Universal then that might be different.
Although it is hard to beat the price for Aventura - usually around $100 a night on property.
I've stayed 10 nights there multiple times and gotten day trips top NASA and Disney and don't have to think about driving.
Then wen you get back you can still grab a boat or bus over to Citywalk.
I spend very little time in the room so that works for me.
