Currently we have reservations at All Star Sports for July 3 - 8. My kids aren't really excited about staying at the All Stars (I guess I have resort snob kids and I can't figure out why because we usually do Values or Moderates?????) Anyway, I have been thinking of staying offsite at either Buena Vista Suites or Cypress Pointe. We would get more space, for a comparable price. Although we would have to give up the dining plan (I was on the fence about this though, so no big deal. My kids are "adults" so it will cost us more anyway.) We would also have to pay to park. I just worry that with it being the holiday, we should stay onsite. Any opinions on this?? We do not plan to go to MK on July 4, so no worries about not being allowed in due to park closure. We plan to go to AK on July 4, so I don't think that will be closed. We have an ADR at 'Ohana for dinner at 8 pm to watch the fireworks. So we can still do that.
What do you think? Stick with the All Stars? I am trying to keep this trip relatively inexpensive since I have tacked this 5 day trip onto our already scheduled cruise (Royal Caribbean). I can't be so close to WDW and not go, but DH isn't quite so anxious.
