Staying offsite and just booked advance FP+ for next week!

I am going on 3/27. I have an ADR on 3/28 and linked my tickets earlier this week. So far, I can't use FP+. I keep checking every day. My screen does look different though. I can see dates to book FP+ but it says I am ineligible. Prior to last week, I couldn't see these dates. I am hoping that as it gets closer to my travel date, these will open up.

Hoping to see other offsite folks posting positive news!

So far it seems like most people who are booking FPs are arriving next week, so maybe it's just too soon :confused3

We stayed onsite and until I got my tickets I couldn't see the dates. So I do think that's promising.

I posted earlier in the thread but I'll add it again. I went last week and was staying off-site and was "picked" to be in the test to get my FP+ link to MDE app on my phone and could then prebook for the rest of my trip.

I have a feeling, off-site guests are going to soon be getting the option of getting the FP+ app on the first day of their trip and then be able to book their FP+ for the week.

So even if you don't get in on the email/prebook test you may still have access to the app/prebooking during your actual stay like I did.

Do you have a MB? I have one from a previous trip - maybe they are needed and considered part of a test.

I do not have a magic band. Just PLENTY of ADR's and tickets linked.

I'm hoping this thread can go back to the OP's topic of offsiters getting invites for advanced FP+ booking. Any additional details those who have obtained these invites can give may help those of us that are in the same boat.

Well, last night my SIL linked their 6 tickets and were able to get FP+. They were able (after several attempts in the not-so-easy-to-use MDE website) to copy all but one of the FP+ selections I had made.

We fly out tomorrow am (if this STINKING SNOW would stop falling) and go to our first park on Sunday.

No MB from a prior visit here. So far the main connections I see are:
1) MDE account
2) ADRs
3) Linked tickets
4) Going within 14 days

Of course, that could change in 5 minutes with the way Disney changes its mind.

That is great news! I think the 14 day assumption might be correct. When I look at my account, it shows 2 weeks of dates and then says I am not eligible. So, maybe when my 2 week mark comes up next week, it will work!

So hoping!!

Would be interesting to know if there are any offsiters who have an MDE account set up with linked tickets and ADRs who are in the 2 week window who aren't getting FP+ advance booking option.

well maybe it is a 2 week window so keep those fingers crossed! I leave Sunday morning - and I was within the 2 week window when I linked my tickets, so maybe that is why I was able to select FP+!

Good luck!

True, but... if I'm going to stay onsite I need to know that I can book FPs for the attractions I want or I won't be going to the parks that day. Or I may cancel completely, esp since I can get EP for staying at US hotels. So it's not really that I want a perk -- but I do want some minimum service for the money I spend. Even if I try to book only 10 days out, I would expect to get FPs for everything since I can cancel a RO reservation 5 days out.

Disney has never had FP tied into resort perks. TBH, it's always baffled me a bit when people argued that FP+ would absolutely remain an onsite perk when it never was in the past, and Disney never said anything to indicate it would be (in fact, said the opposite - that it would be included for all with theme park admission, with it = the ability to prebook, as they defined FP+)

Sunday will be my 2 week window (CRT reservation for that morning) so I'm hoping something gives soon.

We are coordinating with another family who is off-site, has MDE and ADR's for next week and who are not able to book FP+ :(

I just now looked at the ADR reservations and their names are no longer showing up :confused3 Just Guest #3 and Guest #4. I know I put them on there. I tried to add them back and am getting a server is unavailable message. Sigh.

It does look like booking 60+ length of stay in advance will remain an onsite perk. It makes perfect sense to clear out the kiosk lines, lock offsite people in by giving them two weeks advanced booking (possibly a bit more) and still encourage onsite stays. Looks like a win-win.:-D

Well that stinks. Hopefully it changes once the linking is corrected.

From earlier in the thread, it looks like one of the offsite testers could book into May...which would be 60 days. I said it a long time ago, and I stand by it...the onsite perk will be the same +10 days onsite guests get for ADRs.

Please post and keep us updated if you are able to book fp at 2 weeks or whenever. We are at 3 weeks from tomorrow:goodvibes

I don't see that post. Maybe I missed it.

Maybe I misread something..quite possible. It's been a long day and I could totally take a nap right now :)

That said...this is obviously still in testing too. I'd be surprised if the final prebooking times were this different (60 days vs. 2 weeks).
