Staying Off-Site and making Disney Dining Reservations

We have decided at the last minute to stay off site for our next Disney World vacation and I would like to have 2 or 3 character meals for the kids. If we go to a park that does not have EMH can we make our reservations for before park opening? For example, if the park opens at 9 can we make reservations for 8:30?

You can! We have two 8:00am adr's with 9:00am park openings and we stay offsite.

In 2009, we also did this for one breakfast--Crystal Palace. It was so awesome walking down Main Street with barely anyone around. I can't wait to experience this at Epcot and Animal Kingdom this year!
