My family is booked at Caribbean Beach for 8 days in June. I just priced out several of the good neighbor hotels in Disney Springs and they are almost $1000 cheaper! I know there are some perks that Disney offers that I am not considering. What do I need to think about before switching to a good neighbor hotel.

1. I know there will be no magical express, so I need to price an Uber from the airport to the hotels.
2. I need to add in the prices of Ubers to and from the parks.
3. I have already added in resort fees

As far as I can tell, the only perk is the 60+ dining reservations. What am I missing?

The end date for Magical Express is December 31, 2021. That means for this June, 2021 you will still have that transportation option if you decide to keep the Caribbean Beach reservation.

The only other thing I can think of is that people are reporting those who arrive by skyliner/monorail/Disney buses are getting to the parks a little earlier than those who arrive by car. They are holding the cars until a certain time (which seems to be random for some reason) at the gate. So if you drive you might get into the park a few minutes later than those who arrive by Disney transportation. I don't think it make a tremendous difference, but that's the only other "on site" thing I can think of.

One strategy to consider is to book an early breakfast at Chef Mickey's or The Wave. Take an Uber/Lyft to the breakfast and then walk to MK after you eat. It's about a 7-10 minute walk. You could also use the same strategy at other restaurants close to parks.
