Hi! Booked a bounce back at Pop Century for next year but have never stayed there- we have stayed at POFQ & POR and really enjoyed both.

The refurb rooms look really nice, but
Hoping to hear from anyone who has stayed at both if they think it is a huge change staying at a value after being used to the mods and if you liked it?

These are always tough to answer because we don’t know you and what is most important to you.

Making the assumption that the difference in budget (ie saving with the value) is not that big a deal..

So that said, we stayed at both..

POP was fine when our kids were a little younger and we did rope drops and lived at the parks. We used POP to hit the pools in the evening and maybe a light snack. It was a place to crash and did it fine.

Our kids are college age now, and we don’t all do things same time/pace. So oldest might crash and meet up at first fast pass. Or wife and I sleep in and meet up with the kids in early afternoon.

So we are at the resort more often. POR is great because it is upgraded hotel over POP. Hot tub is nice, pool is better (we feel), short walk to French Qtr for another food court. Boat to Disney Springs.

So for us, much better. If it was POP or not go, POP no problem. To give you idea, we did All Stars Sports before and nope, never again. We would skip Disney If we had to do All Stars again.

POP did not give us that feeling.

Hope this helps.

Yes, this is helpful!
I agree with you- I had that same feeling at All Star music (as a student!) as you
What differentiated Pop from that for you?

Before I stayed at Pop in May, I never thought I would choose a value over a mod (I've never stayed at PO resorts but I love CSR). Now, I would not hesitate to choose Pop, especially with the new rooms with the queen beds. I much prefer the refurb rooms at Pop over the look of the new rooms at CSR. The food court there is better, it's much smaller so it never feels like you're very far away from the food court or pool. I just love the feeling of the resort. I do miss the water slide and hot tub but that's not a deal breaker. I have also found that the CMs are Pop are friendlier than at many resorts (mods and deluxe), in our experience. Not to say that I would never stay at CSR again, I still think it's a beautiful resort, but I'm really happy with Pop if we aren't staying deluxe.

Sorry I have no input on the PO resorts but that's my thoughts on Pop vs. Mod
