There is a significant difference between the cost of a standard room and that of a main building concierge room. It generally depends on what you're looking to get out of your vacation. For instance, it might not be a waste of time for you to have the pre-planning staff available to make all your reservations. That includes dining, recreation, spa, tours, etc. No need to worry about setting your alarm for 6:58am just so that you can attempt to book a princess breakfast. The rooms themselves are no different in size to the other buildings at the GF, although by staying concierge, you can book a larger deluxe room for an additional cost. Private check-in is standard for concierge guests as well as on site assistance each day from 7am-10pm. That's great for any last minute changes or additions to your vacation plans. The lounge offers a nice deluxe continental breakfast and if you're crew is happy with cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, bagels, etc., then you are all set there. Throughout the day there are light servings and cold drinks are always out. That's nice if you're coming back for an afternoon rest. The lounge is quite big with lots of seating and 2 tv's. It overlooks the main lobby and in the evening, while you're sipping a glass of wine or a cordial, you can hear the GF Orchestra playing. We didn't spend a lot of time in our room either, but did use the lounge as our living room. It was very nice to have a place to sit and relax.
Our favorite room view is of the MK and Cinderellas castle. You can get this from the 3rd or 4th floor, room numbers 01-09. I preferred the 4th floor because there is no one above you. It's a bit of a walk to the main elevator, lounge and CM desk area, but that made for very little hallway traffic. There is an elevator in this area which brings you right out next to Gasparilla's Grill. Quite convenient for getting to the pools also.
It's definitely a higher level of personalized service. It is one of our favorites though. You can find some nice pictures and 360 degree views here,
GF.
