Staying At the CR - Where do you breakfast?

Hello!

We are going for 3 days on an anniversary trip. We'll be staying at the Contemporary. Our plan is to arrive at 7:30 am to check in on Friday for morning EMH at MK - we will probably eat something small before we get on the road but will be looking for a mid morning breakfast snack by 9ish. We'll be in tomorrowland. Where would you go for a breakfast bite?

Second day is Epcot - 9 am - we would want to eat before getting on the monorail. I don't want to do an ADR like Chef Mickey's. Where would you go for a full breakfast?

Last day is HS - morning EMH but I'm not sure we'll do that since we'll have to pack up and check out, and we are planning to drive from the CR to HS so we can drive home from HS at the end of the night (we are FL residents). Again, where for a full breakfast, no ADR.

Thanks!

Tomorrowland is not a great area for breakfast snacking. Main Street Bakery would be good, especially if you need coffee. Gaston's is cinnamon roll town over in Fantasyland. And, of course, there is Sleepy Hollow in Liberty Square (A+++++ WAFFLE!).

For a full breakfast? You can get standard breakfast items at Contempo Cafe. Otherwise, consider an ADR at The Wave, which is about as unlike Chef Mickey's as possible in this plane of existence. Or hop the monorail to Poly and go to Kona (ADR) or Captain Cooks (they have Tonga toast at Quick Service).

For HS, abandon all hope for anything edible at HS quick service. Starring Rolls is not going to be a "full" breakfast, but is an option. Otherwise, Contempo or hopping over to the Poly remain good options.

I would suggest considering Kona or Wave as ADRs, though.

While staying at CR, though you'll likely need an ADR, we really like The Wave, Kona and WCC for breakfast. Also, Olivia's might be a good option on your check out day.

Yacht Club's Captain's Grille has a great breakfast menu. You can stop off at YC and then head to DHS on your last day.

We booked an ADR for Captain's Grille as we were driving to YC from our offsite location.

You won't find a full breakfast in the parks. The main option is Starbucks sandwiches.

If you want a full breakfast platter, go to the quick service Contempo Cafe. If you want something nicer go to The Wave. As others suggested the Poly has slightly different options at Kona Cafe for table service and Captain Cooks for quick service. ADRs might be needed if you want table service, but from what I've heard walk-ups might be possible at The Wave.

When we stayed at the Contemporary, we ate breakfast at Contempo Café every morning and it was good. They had a breakfast platter, breakfast sandwich, burrito, Mickey Waffles, etc. We liked not using park time to eat breakfast, so we ate there before we headed out each day.

We did both Contempo Cafe and The Wave for our breakfasts at CR.
We loved The Wave. They have both a buffet and a menu, so you can pick which suits you more.
Or even do them 2 different days.
Contempo Cafe was fine but like most all other QS breakfasts. Passable, fills you up but nothing memorable.

We typically grabbed something from the Contempo Cafe or my DH would walk over to Starbucks in MK for our breakfast when we stayed there. :thumbsup2

The Wave is great for a full breakfast. The buffet is very good and so are the regular menu items. We have been able to walk up on a weekday morning but have also made ADR's - some as late as the night before.

Thanks, everyone!

So far I got an adr for the wave on Saturday morning.

Still considering Sunday morning pre HS.

All good stuff!!! I appreciate it.

You will not regret it; this place is a well kept secret. I did not discover it myself until our last visit at BLT in June. The buffet while not large still has a lot to offer and the food is very good for a buffet. The stand alone menu is pretty good as well. I'm sure you will enjoy it. :thumbsup2

Pre DHS you could do Captain's Grill at YC or Trattoria at BWI-both are fairly easy walk ups. I think (not certain, we fly from CT and never have a car) that you could park at YC or BWI, have breakfast, then take the boat to DHS and do the same on the return.
