We will arrive at 7:30 tonight. Any suggestions for dinner, either there or at another resort.

What sort of food do you like? Are you just adults or have kids.......

StrongWater Tavern is fabulous for tapas style food.......we really enjoyed it there, great food, rum and atmosphere.

Amatista is ok, but nothing special.

A 10 minute walk to Royal Pacific gives you Sushi in Orchids lounge, Jake's American Bar, Islands Dining Room and Tchoup Chop.......

HRH has The Palm.......more expensive but the best onsite restaurant there is.......Kitchen is decent too but not a favourite........

Portofino Bay has a Sal's which has the best onsite pizza if you like that........

Plenty of choice.........

I haven't tried any of the food options at Sapphire but we met some folks who really liked StrongWater Tavern. Also its an insanely short walk to Royal Pacific. Jakes would be my recommendation there. Or maybe some sushi at the bar upstairs.

To get from Sapphire to RPR, follow the path that leads from the dock area towards the street - see pic

Then illegally cross street to get to RPR. You will end up near Tchoup Tchoup. It's a short walk to Jakes from there.

You don't need to go outside at all.

You can walk the whole way inside both hotels.........through both conference centre/ballroom areas.

At Sapphire walk down past the Universal Store, turn right and follow the signs.

Very handy too if it's raining. We used this route many times :thumbsup2

Dinner at Amitista was unimpressive. The menu was fairly limited and the salad that I ordered with dressing on the side came saturated with dressing. Our second round of drinks came well after we finished our meal. Wait time for seating was 15 minutes even though the restaurant was half empty. The rotisserie chicken was not quite as good as Costco. We won't be back.

The lobby, common areas and pool area is beautiful. The decor and cleanliness in the room is perfect. The room size however is small!! The vanity area in the bath can barely fit one person with toiletries.

One visit was enough for us. The menu was limited but we did enjoy what we had. Just wouldn't return either.

There are so many better options around.
