Staying at Royal Pacific...how to get to parks?

I have a 5 and 8 year old...what is the best way to get to the parks? What time does the water shuttle start? Where does it let you off? At each park?

I'd say the water shuttle starts at 08:30am. I remember taking it one morning and was still at the gate before the parks opened. There is a boat dock near the conference rooms. The shuttle lets off in the middle of CityWalk, about a 5 minute walk away from either park.
The walking path follows the water way. It takes about 7 minutes if you walk. The path exits next to Margaritaville, leaving your a very short walk to IOA, slightly farther to USF.
I'd say you can take the walking path in the morning, and then take the boat back in the afternoon when the kids feet are tired.

The fastest way to US is by bus. The pick up is at the end of the walk beyond Tchoup Chop and they take you real close to the US turnstiles.

WE always walked, but with a five year old, you may not want to. The water taxi is very convenient also. The busses did not seem to run all that often.

We walked most of the time. If you miss the boat, you can be over to the parks by the time the next boat returns.

Walking was the quickest way but we also enjoy the boats.

We were there 10 days ago and wanted to get to the Studios early and talk with a couple of the employees. We boarded the bus which is a new smaller version with Portofino graphics on the sides. As we drove off the first boat was approaching the dock. The driver took us directly to US and the resort bus stop has been moved northerly to where the old employee bus stop was but it is still closer than the old backdoor HRH gate. We couldn't have walked from RPR any faster. We could, however, have gotten to the turnstiles faster by walking and leaving earlier.
