Staying at One Resort - Visiting Friends at Another Before Heading to Parks on 10/1

We are staying at Coronado Springs for our 10/1 trip. We have friends staying in a Copper Creek Cabin at the Wilderness Lodge. They have invited us to their cabin for an early breakfast before heading to MK that morning. We would probably Uber from Coronado. Is it likely that the guard at the security shack will let us in? Should our friends list us on their reservation? We won't be staying there overnight obviously.
