We are not bringing laptop this time but need to do some online course work.

Is there a computer center nearby? Maybe at the swan or dolpin?

Any ideas?

The convention resorts have computer centers, including Y&BC, Coronado Springs, BWV and Contemporary..but they are not inexpensive. If you have a laptop, it would probably be more economical to bring it.

DVCFan, we're staying at OKW in December on an RCI exchange. In looking at the pictures of OKW at allearsnet, I noted that one of the pictures of the interior of the community center at OKW shows two computer stations. You can check it out here: http://allears.net/acc/g_okw.htm. Go down to Recreation and Fun, and look at Community Hall I.

I have no idea what you can do on those computers or if there's a charge for conecting - maybe someone who has stayed there has more info. But it might be worth checking out.

Those computers are not connected to the internet, they are used for games.

If you will have a car but no laptop with you, there is a Kinko's on Apopka-Vineland Road.....perhaps a 10 minute ride from OKW. Or I should say there was one there a few years back. :surfweb:

yes, there is - and they have several computers available. At the top of hotel plaza turn left. Go about 2 blocks. It's in a little shopping center just past the Sheraton on the right.

Also, the library in the Water Tower Place off 192 in Celebration has public access computers for use by the public. You can reserve time in advance, and I am not sure if the use time is 1/2 hour or 1 hour. You can check with them. It is an Osceole County libraryand is nice, and not too far away.

I noticed you stated "We are not bringing laptop this time. . ." Are you DVC members? Internet access is no charge to DVC members so, armed with that information I'd strongly recommend bringing your laptop or MacBook. Our daughter was taking an online course at the time of our last visit. Bringing her laptop was extremely convenient and user friendly at OKW.

Thanks for the info. The Celebration idea sounds great. My son's laptop

is on its last legs and he is not sure how long it will last and has a math test to take.
