staying at Marriott Harbour Lake...rent a car?

Wouldn't the airlines charge to check the car seats? And lugging car seats along would seem to be a real pain. I don't necessarily mind paying for the convenience of just renting the car seats; however, I would obviously like to try to get the cost of the rental down as much as possible.

Right now one of the car seats is free because I booked through AAA. The other two cost $12 each per day I believe ($120 total).

The majority of carriers do not charge. I know that southwest and airtran do not. And they don't count towards your checked baggage allotment in southwest either

For the infant, are you using one on the plane? Otherwise they can gate check them for free.

I don't know but they may not charge for child car seats, but gate checking may be an option.

Well the infant isn't mine (sister-in-law and family coming in on a different flight), but I don't believe they are using one on the plane.

It almost makes more sense to just go to a Babies-R-Us down there and buy a couple of cheap booster seats for $20 or $30 bucks and just leave them there. That's cheaper than paying $60 to rent one for 5 days. The only problem is that you need a seat when you get there in order to be able to drive to Babies-R-Us:(.
