We are staying at the HYATT Airport the Night before we Leave on our 7 Day. I have scheduled a Limo to take us to the Port. Now I find out that we have Transfers included. Everyone of course wants to take the Limo, BUT Should I let the TRANSFER PEOPLE handle the luggage so it gives me 1 less thing to worry about? Or should I take it in the Limo??

Thanks

I have always used the DCL transfer from the Hyatt. Put the bags outside the room by 8:30am (I think). Don't see them again til they are delivered to your stateroom. We do use the DCL bus to the ship.

Why don't you just cancel the DCL transfer? I did that without any problem and they simply credited the money back to the charge card they had on file. It seems like a lot to pay just to have your luggage transfered. If you're staying at the Hyatt the night before, you still would need to get your luggage from the baggage claim area and bring it to your room. The only difference will be that instead of leaving it out in the hallway before you go to bed, you'll need to bring it down to the 1st floor car port area. Your limo driver will load them into the car and there are DCL porters waiting at the terminal drop off area to take them away. We just did the same thing a week ago and it worked out fine. Basically, once you bring them down to the limo, you won't see them again until they are dropped off at your stateroom door.

I think it depends on how many are in your party. I personally think the DCL bus is a special way to start the cruise. And since you can leave the hotel around 9:30 or 10:00, you don't miss anything at the port.

If you have never been on the cruise before, taking the DCL bus is fun because they have a video to watch during the hour drive which tells all about the cruise and then it is really special to look out and see the ship over the hill when the video has ended.

We're staying at the Hyatt the night before our cruise and are taking a limo to the port on Saturday morning. We will have two other families with us, so we plan to purchase the baggage only transfers, which costs $25 for up to 6 bags. This is different than the regular transfers which are $25 per person. Each family decided to purchase the bag only transfers because our limo will not be able to hold the luggage for all of us. This way, we get to enjoy the limo ride and our bags will meet us at our room on the ship. This also ends up being cheaper for us than if everyone paid for the regular transfers for everyone in their family.

I have spoken to numerous people at Disney and the Hyatt and they have confirmed that we can do this.

Good luck and enjoy your trip!
