How does it work? I know the CM said I need to have my park ticket with me to get into the park. Now they just let you in early so you can go to the castle ? Do you still go to the same main entrance? The breakfast is at 8:15. How much time should I be allowing to get to the castle? I know someone said HIFS is close to MK. I guess I just need an idea of how early I should be leaving the hotel to make it to our p.s. on time, And what transportation will we use once we park our car in the parking lot of MK. This will be our first time and I want everything to be perfect!!:D Thanks so much for any help on this.

We've stayed off property during one of our CRT breakfasts, but I don't remember how early we left. You will see HIFS IS very close and once you get to the TTC just talk with one of the Castmemembers and give them your PS number and they will let you up to the monorail. That early you will have to take the resort monorail around the loop instead of a direct MK monorail.

When we stayed at HIFS we had ps for Chef Mickey's @ 8:30. We left at 7:30. It only took us 10 minutes to get there, but we forgot about monorail traffic. We did get there in time, but it was alittle stressful because we had never been in the Contemporary, so getting to the restraunt was a little nerve racking. With your ps number the cm will give you no trouble, just try to calculate drive , parking (should be up close at that hour) , monorail, and walking time once you are in the park. To be safe, I would probably leave about 7:00 am to get there.

Have a great time!

A whole hour eh? Alright this should be fun with 4 kids, 2 of which are toddlers one will still be nursing and 2 parents who are constantly teased for there "late habits";) I am going to have to get up at the crack of dawn:) !! But it's Disney so that shouldn't be a problem right!! Well, that doesn't sound too difficult getting there. Whats the TTC? Is that where we go from the parking lot? Is that where the monorail is? Thanks again!!

Trust me, I know the feeling. We did it with 5 children!!! It was well worth it though!!! I felt more stressed trying to get to the restraunt on time though , than I did getting up early! Of course, I saved it as a surprise for our son's birthday, and since the kids didn't know what we were doing, they all complained because they wanted to eat the breakfast buffet at the hotel!!!:yo-yo:

You'll have a blast!!!

Enjoy,
Kim

TTC is the Ticket & Transportation Center. If you are driving, you park there, and from the parking lot either take the tram or, walk, which you will probably do that early, to the TTC and either take the monorail or a boat to the MK. Resort buses drop off right at the MK, but can't actually park there.

We tried doing this once when we stayed offsite and missed our PS because we didn't allow enough time for everything. I agree with trying to leave at about 7am. Remember that you will have to wait in line to pay for parking, also. A problem that we ran into was that we didn't get to park as close as we had anticipated and had to take the tram which sat in the parking lot for about 10 or 15 minutes waiting to get a full load before they took us up to the gate. When we got to the TTC gate there was a mob of people that we had to make our way through to get to the CM at the gate. I told the CM that we had a PS and he asked to see the number so I had to dig that out - definitely a good idea to have it out and ready. Then we had to wait in line to get on the monorail. As previously mentioned this will be the one that stops at the resorts instead of the one that goes directly to the park gates. We had to wait thru stops at the Polynesian and the GF, one of which was longer than usual because there was a guest in a wheelchair who wanted to get on and they had to find a car with enough room to accommodate her. Then when we got to MK gates we had to go through the security check and then finally the turnstiles. You may not run into all of these obstacles (I hope not :teeth: ) but it would be best to be prepared. It was really a bummer to miss our PS for breakfast at the castle after I had gotten up in the wee hours weeks in advance to arrange the darn thing. Good luck.:)
