I want to ride a couple of things while DH and the babies go back to the room for a nap. I think I'll have about 2 hours. So I need to make it to Epcot and back. What do you think? We are leaving on Tuesday - hopefully crowds wont be too bad. I really want to ride Soarin, Test Track and Mission Space.

Opinions??

Take the monorail to the TTC and then transfer to the Epcot monorail.

Have a great trip!

If you are trying to do this later in the day you may not be able to ride Soarin. The fast passes go quickly and there usually is a line. Head there first and see what the line is like or try and grab a fast pass then come back later.

I might walk over to the TTC instead of taking the resort monorail around. We did the monorail to TTC to Epcot route once I think it took about 40 minutes all told.

We've always taken the car since and are usually in the same spot in under 20 minutes.

I just got back yesterday and the lines for those three rides were not bad. I'd say the longest I stood in line for either of those was 20 minutes tops. I got a fastpass for soarin, went in the standby line and then rode it again with the fastpass all within an hour. Great attraction by the way, the only ride I ever went on and people applauded when it ended. Try to ride it on different levels and the experience is a bit different. We did three the first time and one the second.
Have a wonderful trip.

If you like walking, there's nothing wrong with that plan. However from the GF, it's not a quick walk to the TTC though, so if time is your primary concern, you may not save any by walking. OP didn't mention having or using a car, so the monorail would be the best option, IMO, unless one just wanted to enjoy the walk.

The monorail would certialy be easy-- but depending on how you hit the schedule you may spend up to an hour in travel time (there and back).

If you've only got 2 hours and you want to "treat yourself" consider arranging for a cab. It will only be $7 or so each way and you'll be there in 15 minutes, as opposed to 30+ minutes taking the Resorts monorail and transfering to the Epcot monorail. Or if you have a car, drive yourself. Late in the afternoon you can typically find a parking spot relatively close to the Epcot entrance because people who arrived early in the morning are starting to leave.

traci, the 2 hour time limitation may be a problem for you. Even if you could magically transport yourself to Epcot in the blink of an eye, you're probably not going to be able to walk on to Test Track, Mission Space, or Soarin'. The standby lines can be over an hour long in the afternoon ( except maybe M:S which tends to be less than the other popular rides ) and fast pass return times, unless you get them in the morning, will be for much later later in the day. Single rider lines might shave some time off of that, but it will still be hard to hit those 3 rides within 2 hours. You might want to decide which one is the most important and do that one first and then see how much time is left.

You can always hope for the best, but by the time you get to Epcot, walk to your first attraction, wait in line, and finally ride, your 2 hours will probably have expired.

Good luck though! Have a great trip!

It's costs more than $7 from the GF to Epcot--closer to $15 each way--plus tip.

I would guess you could gamble with Fast Pass, but it may not work. What I mean is to get a Fast Pass earlier in the day and then try to trade that one for a later one, closer to the nap time if the Fast Pass is going fast.

Get something for around noon if you can, then at noon trade your fast pass with someone who may want to ride Soarin' earlier for their later Fast Pass. this idea would work only if you were staying at Epcot and DH was taking the kids with for their naps.
