We (me, my dh, and ds)are staying at the Courtyard DD with my mom, and inlaws and we need to eat somewhere the first night that would get us in the mood without using a day on their passes. It can be either offsite or at the hotels (no Chef Mickeys please). I looked into Portobellos but it seems a bit pricey is it worth it? Any help would be wonderful I am really stuck on this one.

Thanks!

Jungle Jim's in The Crossroads is not too bad and can be fun.

You could walk to Downtown Disney and eat at Rainforest Cafe! That should get you in the disney spirit!:D

There's actually several options at DTD. Bongos is a neat, Disney-like, cultural meal, and you're right in the middle of the action as PI comes to life around 7 and all the lights come up. It can be neat!

Have you thought about going to Pleasure Island? They must have places to eat, and the Adventurer's Club is great fun for all ages. That would really get you in the mood :)

Also if your stay includes a Sunday, the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues is a must! Near Downtown Disney is a great location -- you'll have a blast!

Oh, and there's a Bahama Breeze nearby. It's not in Downtown Disney, but we LOVE that restaurant!

Cheers :)

Since your staying near Downtown Disney, there is no better way to get your friends in the Disney Spirit by eating at The Rainforest Cafe. Last week, their food was great. After dinner, spend an hour or two shopping at Downtown Disney.
