Staying at BLT - need TIW

Hi there!

Our arrival day will be a non-park day since we are arriving at the airport at 5:40PM.

We're staying for 1 night at BLT studio and have ADR at 9:05 at Chef Mickey. I'm thinking that is really very late for us since I had dinner at that time last night and didn't digest food well. We also have a 5yo and 1 yo. So I am looking at booking something else that is early in any of the monorail resort.

The problem is TIW card. We are DVC members and I believe we can only get it from DTD guest relations. If I go to DTD to get it by myself and I will probably redeem the Photopass plus voucher as well. I can then meet the rest of my party at wherever we will have our ADR (thinking Kona, Grand Floridian Cage, The Wave). Will I make in time for 8:30PM ADR? I highly doubt. I'm thinking of looking at the menu in advance and have them order it for me so that it will be ready when I arrive.

What do you think? I feel exhausted just thinking this through. Lol! Any suggestions on what counter service meal will be good at the monorail resorts? I think this is our best bet.

You can get a TiW card at any Guest Relations location. This can be at a Park or DTD.

Since you are at BLT, you can walk over to the Guest Relations location at the entrance to MK and get the TiW card there.

Its a non-park day. We don't have annual pass so I don't want to use 1 day ticket for just a few hours. I was told that Guest Relations is inside the park.

We enjoyed the counter service at the Poly a lot. If weather permits, there is a great outdoor seating area. Very relaxed setting. The CS at the Contemporary also nice and then you could consider just going down to the beach area by the pool and enjoying roasting marshmallows and watching the movie they are showing that night.

All Theme Parks have a Guest Relations location outside the gates and one inside the park. At MK: Inside is City Hall, outside is to the far right of the turnstiles. There is also a Guest Relations at the TTC and DTD.

There is a Guest Relations before you go into the park. If walking from BLT, you go pass the bus stop and before going down the lane to the center of the entry area where they have the bag checking area) you instead go right to the building sitting outside the gate.

Oh my goodness, you just saved my dilemma if this true! :worship:

We will also have photopass plus pre-ordered. I am told that I have to Grand Floridian to exchange those for an actual card so this will really save me the trip to DTD.

Thank you!

As already stated, walk over to the MK, go thru security, then walk to the outside the park guest services window and buy your TIW. You must have your DVC member card and photo id. I left DH in the BLT room for his nap and I walked over, we used it for the Wave that evening.

My DH ordered a TiW card and it arrived at the house over the weekend. We are annual passholders so I don't know if that makes a difference but could you order it ahead of time?

Nope - mail or phone orders are for FL residents or AP holders but thanks!

Just for the record, all of the parks have a Guest Services location outside the gates. This includes the International Gateway entrance at Epcot.

So, as others have said, you will be able to get your card at the GS windows outside the MK. In fact, I just did the same two weeks ago.

You have to be careful when doing mail order for the TiW card as they are active when sent.

Thanks Michael. You are correct the card is already active. The sales rep was very keen on letting DH know this. We are going this October and then again in January and then taking a few years off.

We are heading to Yellowstone next fall instead of Disney so we are all set with a August TiW activation time period. My DH wanted to have it in order to make some advance F & W Festival reservations.

Thanks again,

Kelly
