We are thinking of buying in... can you split your stay...we like to go to 2 different resorts while were there... also ...if we use points for the poly and beach club and are short points could we pay for one of the nights?? and this might be a dumb question.. but in the one bedroom villas...do they supply sheets for the pull out couch?? i think i have my hubby almost talked into it.. thanks..amy

I know it takes alot of points for the poly... but we love it there... thanks...for any help

Hi. We always split our stay because, well, .....we are too cheap to pay the points for the weekend. 5 days is just NOT long enough!! We go Sunday thru Thursday at one resort and then Sunday or Monday thru Thursday at another one. Usually we go to the grandparents or stay at Universal during the 2 or 3 nights in the middle. Just works well for us. Disney doesn't care how you use your points. The only thing I find that is hard is checking in and out twice. we keep adding on points so I'm sure eventually we will just stay!!! Have fun!!!!

The sleepers are usually made up except for the blankets and pillows. They are kept in the closet.

You get a better use of your points by staying at DVC resorts instead of the other Disney resorts. But you can do it if you don't mind using the points. We usually start out one night somewhere else if we come in late and check into our DVC resort the next morning. But we usually stay in DVC once we get there. It's such a let down to go to something else after the luxury and space of the DVC resort.

thanks for the replies.....i have never stayed at a viilla ... sounds like once you do .. you love them..thanks again..amy

On the issue of paying for a night or two - that's what we're doing for our upcoming trip. We had the trip scheduled on cash ressies initially because we were still in the process of closing on our membership. Once we closed, we then made points reservations for three of the nights we're staying (since we already paid for two nights up front). So it seems not to be a problem. I'll let you know if I run into any problems checking in to either resort.

We seem to vist two resorts often. Not because of weekend points, but rather we are doing AP cash at another resort and then switching for a week at a DVC home. We have only GF and the Swan/Doplphin yet to visit (uh plus Pop Century when it opens).

If you are on property for both resorts, Disney will move your luggage for you. Just tell bell services when they pick up your luggage where you are going and it is there around 4:00 pm. Great service!
