You don't crack 0 C (32 F) too often, do you? For some reason, I thought Melbourne was a pretty nice climate most of the year. But of course, I haven't been lucky enough to have made it there at this point!

Melbourne (or more accurately, the southern part of Victoria) is known to have 4 seasons in a day. You should always wear layers and prepare for any weather.
But occasionally it's either just going to be hot or just cold.
Our winters are getting more bitter I think, or maybe I'm just getting old and feel it more, but yeah, we rarely go below 0C in Melbourne. Other parts of Victoria do get very cold though.
Sydney is much more mild than Melbourne.

One of the only things I like about winter is getting home and putting my flannel PJs on.
Especially if they're my purple tinker bell ones or my Anna and Elsa ones!

Kiddo with a fever, that's my excuse to keep her company on the couch all day!

The joists and timbers in my roof/attic snapped and banged all night because of the extreme cold. Not much sleep. I kept thinking, pls don't let that be some big butt squirrel up there making a home for himself near the satellite tv wiring. Troubles I do not need.

Alas, valentines dinner is near and I must relinquish my flannel pjs and robe for something more fitting of the occasion. Cowboy boots with leather chaps and vest are not nearly as warming, but someone paid good money for me.
