Stay,Play and Dine Promo

So I booked today for 1-21 1-26. They only Value resort that had a room was AS Music. We have never stayed there before,but we have been to movies twice and AOA once. I know that AoA is never included in any promo. Prior to booking this package I also have a room only reservation at AoA for the same dates b/c it was less than $100/night. It comes out to be cheaper with S.P,D as I was not going to get the DP. My concern is that we have never stayed at music,but we really loved movies. Will I be disappointed? We also loved AoA. We are very casual travelers and we like to spend time at the resort for 1 day an swim etc. Was just wondering what some thoughts were or should I just stay with AOA and get the entire package which would be more expensive. I am on a budget and to save some money is all right with me.

If you look under the resorts thread there is an ASMusic thread with all the info you would need for the resort. Personally ASMusic is one of my favorites. We love the guitar pool there and your right next door to ASMovies so if you don't care for the Music theme walk over to Movies and swim there for the day. HTH

I, personally, look at all the values as interchangeable (not counting AoA, because I've never stayed there).

I don't think any of them have anything extra than another doesn't have. Yes, the giant statues at Movies are cool, but other than looking at them when you walk to your room, there's nothing really different.

It's been years since I've stayed at Music (pop has been cheapest my last few visits) but I seem to remember the piano pool as being one of the warmest I've experienced. But seeing as your there in January, swimming might be a no-go anyway.

We've stayed at POP many times and love it there.
Stayed at ASMU once. The rooms are almost identical to POP, very clean. Nice enough, but.....we were put in the farthest room in the farthest building facing some scraggly woods. Very far from parking (we always drive), very far from main building so I would imagine would have been too far from visiting (walking) to the other All Star resorts.
Soooo, with that in mind, you might want to ask for a preferred room to be closer to the amenities.
Other than that it was fine, lol.

Music is my favorite value resort. Sports is second. You'll have a fine time.
The bus service from the All Stars is generally pretty great. A really easy ride to all the parks (surprisingly straight).

Having stayed at all of the AllStar Resorts, I have to say that ASMu was my least favorite. If I were only staying a night or two, I would stay there again if it was the cheapest option, but I wouldn't choose it for a week's vacation or if I intended to spend a lot of time at my resort.

Having said that, if you really liked ASMo you will not mind ASMu. Their layout and room sizes are identical. And on a plus side, the food court is undergoing a rehab that will be completed by 12/20/14. ASMu was the last of the AllStars to get a food court rehab.
