STAY or SWITCH

Hello

I am currently booked for free dining for 9 nights at ASMO and I see that Pop in now also available, I don't know if I should stay or switch having never stayed at either resort I really don't know.

I know that ASMO was recently refurbished, but what resort is better

It will be me, husband 4 year old daughter and 2 year old son.

I would go with POP as it has a dedicated bus service.

Is the bus service included in your hotel accommodation price? If it is then I would go with POP as well because that will save you on having to rent a car (if you need to) or driving around.

Whenever you stay at a disney resort, transportation to all parks etc is definitely included.


I would choose Pop between the two. Its our fave value resort. So much fun. Great theme, great food court, their arcade is one of the best ive seen (you can actually redeem tickets for prizes, and they have tons of prizes), plus the hippy dippy pool is great too. All resorts have activities through out the day now, and movies at night.

Having said that, im sure no matter which you choose both will be a lot of fun for your kids. If you really think about it, pop & movies arent THAT different from eachother.

No not renting a car driving down so transportation isn't a concern with either resort, I think I might switch to POP

Pop is a much better resort, especially now that wifi and refrigerators are in the rooms for free! We've been going there fo r the last 6 years and prefer it over all other resorts!

No offense to the All Stars - but - I'm noticing a huge love for Pop!

Pop is my favorte value resort. I like the All Stars too but having to share a bus kind of stinks.

We've stayed at ASMo 3 times (and CBR and CR) and last year we stayed at POP. My family did not care for POP. When they say 1,000 more ppl- they mean it!! Did not like the food court- our beds were terribly uncomfortable. We are going back this year and staying at ASMo again.

The only value resort we ever tried was All Star Sports. We didn't care for it at all. Based on that (and the many positive comments about Pop) I make the switch.

We have stayed at Allstar sports, music and Pop and my vote is definitely POP all the way!!!!
Music was oK Sports it would have to be free for me go back there. I honestly think I would stay off property before staying at Sports again.
Pop is a great value great Food court, the lake is beautiful and friendly guests. It's the only value for us!!!
I may be returning on Aug 12th myself.

I am on my own in this but we stayed at Sports and POP and never noticed a difference between the two! If POP is more expensive, they go to Movies!

I have stayed at both.. I like Toy Story. I like seeing Mickey at the Fantasia pool. I like ASMo just a tad more. If ASMo was booked, I certainly don't mind staying at PoP.

I prefer All Stars. It's a bit quieter, especially in the food court. With young kids, Movies has the perfect theme!!

We have been to both. I preferred POP. I liked the hotel itself better. POP did seem much busier in the food court than ASMO but was tolerable. Go with POP!

You are going to find fans of both resorts on these boards. Pop is newer and is a much bigger resort, meaning more rooms and more guests. It is also on a lake, so if you like a possible water view, you might prefer POP. Pop also has the new beverage coolers and WIFI - however these amenities will soon be at ASMO if there aren't already. On the other hand the Allstars Movies is smaller and much "greener" meaning more trees and shrubbery. I think it could also be quieter, depending on the location. There are some great "icons" at both. If you go to All ears . net you can pull up photos of both resorts and get a better feel. Your kids will be happy at either. If you feel called to Pop, then switch.
