I just wanted to post this because of how much it pissed me off.
After being at the parks for a large portion of the day this past weekend, my group (8 of us) wanted to eat lunch at DTD. We were going to eat at the House of Blues. Everyone was looking at pins at DTD and I decided to walk over and put my name down (this was around 3 o'clock). When I went over there, I walked up to the podium outside where a girl with sunglasses was standing reading a book. She saw me come up and make noises, but she did not look up at me at all so I had to say "excuse me" to get her attention. She looked up at me and stared me blankly in the face. Are you serious ? So, I asked her "I have a group of 8 and wanted to know how long the wait is for a table." She told me that they don't serve groups of 6 or more inside and that we would have to sit outside. We've been at the park all day, why would we want sit outside when its so warm? I asked her if we could all sit together at the bar, she said yes.
I waited for the rest of them to show up and we tried to sit at the bar. As we walked in she said bar stools only. GAH. This is starting to get annoying. We saw plenty of empty tables that could be easily pushed together so my cousin asked the bartender if we could do that and he said, "thats fine, you just have to come up and order your food here to me and you have to come up and pick up your food yourself." WHAT?!?! Do these people not want to serve us at all?
We skipped the House of Blues. Screw that. Why would we want to put money into a place that doesn't even want to serve us. One of the girls in our group had to go to the restroom, so her boyfriend and I waited for her and the hostess that was outside came in and was talking crap to her co-workers about us. She was all pissed off and I was fine with it because she was being a total (excuse me for this) ***** to me and ruined my day, why not ruin hers. GRRR.
Instead we went to ESPN Zone because they always treat us great and we can all sit together. By the end of our meal, each couple spent about $70 each. Boy did the House of Blues miss out on our table. Their mistake.
I just wanted to let you all know as an FYI about the House of Blues.
