Stateroom Gifts - change in sail date

A friend was going to sail in mid may but now has switched her sail date to mid june instead.

I had arranged to send her and the kids the rice krispie treat gift but now I'm wondering what happens? Will they just change the gift to her new sail date?

I am thinking that is what happens. I ordered decorations for my dad and never got a refund when they rescheduled. I will update after May 16th’s cruise.

Since this (presumably) was a surprise gift, if I were you I would contact DCL and make sure they have the new sail date on that gift. If her reservation number didn't change, it should transfer but I honestly wouldn't trust DCL's computer system right now.

We had booked a Stateroom gift for our Marvel cruise a couple months beforehand. When the FL resident rates came out for our cruise we had to cancel the old reservation and book a new room with the discount and we also had to rebook the Stateroom gift. It was the same room but different reservation number. Maybe with the same reservation number it will transfer but unfortunately you should probably call.

Eh, good luck with calling. Even if you get through, you might not get an accurate response.

For my last cruise, my mom bought us an onboard gift as a surprise. The day before our cruise was set to depart, weather cancelled our flight and we had to reschedule our cruise. So, on Friday night, we changed our Saturday departure to a Monday departure. My travel agent asked the cast member on the phone about the surprise gift and was told that it wouldn't transfer and that my mom would get a refund and that she could try to rebuy it for the new cruise. Unfortunately, it was too late to do that, so we just let it go and expected the refund to come later.

But, when we got to our stateroom, the gift was there waiting for us as if nothing had ever happened. It all just worked out, even with the short time between changes and departure. We did get to keep the same reservation number, though, which probably does matter.
